S13 Lower Timing Chain Cover Crack

I searched this forum, and google. Found nothing. I have a KA-T S13 DOHC. My car was leaking coolant, so I tore everything apart looking for it. Finally found that on my lower timing chain cover. The cover cracked behind my thermostats housing. I do not mean on the edge of the housing, but I mean on...

Re: Ignition Short? Bad idle?

Replacing the ignition switch did fix the starting problem. This weekend I will start trouble shooting the ***** up idle.

Re: Ignition Short? Bad idle?

When I turn the key, all the power turns on in the car, but nothing else. It does seem like the signal wire to the starter isn't working. I ordered a new ignition switch and will replace that. If that doesn't work, I think I will check my grounds and the signal wire for the starter. As far as the id...

Ignition Short? Bad idle?

I just bought a new 240 today, and there are a few things wrong with it that I'm not sure what it is. The car is 100% stock. #1- The car won't start unless the steering wheel is in a certain position. When it doesn't start, you slowly rotate the steering wheel back and forth until it kicks and fires...

I didn't think the hole was that bad, but obviously I'm wrong. I'm thinking that its a gauge problem and not a pan problem, but I am going to replace it just to be safe.

My sway bar looks fine, but my cross member took a good hit.

.... so you didn't pull out your pan. well pull it and fix it then. and check to see if you have clearance for the pick up before you try again. I towed the car home and pulled off the pan. There were no leaks or holes. I pounded out the dents the best I could. The pickup looked fine, but I replace...

I'm not leaking anything. How would I have wrecked the inside of the motor if the pickup and engine cradle were fine. Not even scratched. A shop i talked with said that even though I pounded out some of the dents in the pan, I might not have pounded them out enough and the lack of pressure might be ...

Oil Pressure

I have a Fully built S13 KA-T that has less than 300 miles on it. Every thing was running great until I bottomed out. I smashed my oil pan and my oil pressure gauge went to 0. I towed the car home and pulled off the pan. There were no leaks or holes. I pounded out the dents the best I could. The pic...

I went on a 3 hour road trip to get an alignment. The car ran great on the way there. It ran like crap on the way home. It was running lean the entire way home and every bump I hit the car wanted to die. I assume I have a loose wire somewhere. Anyone else have any other ideas?

CJ's Drift Car

So I have been building this car for the last three years. I have had many problems over the years, but I have fixed them all. Started with a rust free FL 240 that was ghetto http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8442/56724101.jpg http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8526/68922789.jpg http://img98.imageshack...

No. I fully rewired the car and simplified everything and removed a lot of things. I made my own chassis harness and engine harness. Everything works great but the tach and the fuel gauge.

Need help wiring gauges

93 S13. I wired up my autometer tach and fuel gauge. They both have power and ground. The signal for the tach is coming off the ecu out of pin #2 yellow/red according to the FSM wiring diagram. The fuel gauge is getting its signal off the green wire coming out of the pump. Neither work. The fuel gau...

Too small of a turbo?

Can I put too small of a turbo on my KA that could hurt it? I blew my GT28 and I dont really have any money left. I have a spair K03 off my B5 Audi sitting in my garage. Its tiny. I was thinking of making flanges and everything to make it fit. I could do it myself for pretty cheap. My only fear is t...
