Re: what exhaust are you running?
I will also vouch for the BRM exhaust. I was running a 2.5" with no resonator and dual tip magnaflow muffler and I loved it. Sold the car - now running no-name pieced together exhaust in the s12. The ONE complaint I had with BRM was the welds rusting. They used stainless tubing and mufflers, bu...

Re: Nismotronicsa
Sure thing, the only difference is I'm running a "Motorola" 2.5bar MAP. I put "Motorola" in quotes, because if you get a "Motorola" 2.5bar MAP, you are really getting a Freescale Semiconductors MPX4250AP (or board mounted equivalent). The map sensor I am running is the ...

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulators
That's mostly correct, however you will probably see fuel pressures closer to 60 PSI, so make sure the FPR can handle that. At atmospheric pressure (0 psi) the fuel pressure should be about 43. With a 1:1 rise in pressure, at 15 psi boost, you are at 58 PSI of fuel pressure. But yea, that is all cor...

Re: Another dumb catch can??
There's not really a good way to avoid plugging those holes. The reason you don't want to run your PCV there like stock is that any time you are in boost, those are under positive pressure, meaning your crankcase is under pressure as well. The PCV system is designed to work the other way - the crank...

Re: Oil Line comfirmation please?
From what I can tell it works out like this - A) 1/8" BSPT to 1/8" NPT adapter - this screws into the oil filter housing, and (C) screws into it. Be careful - threads are close to the same but are different. B) Appears to be a plug for the unused port on (C). One of the 3 will be oil feed ...

Re: Another dumb catch can??
You will want to run the catch can to a vacuum source - AKA pre turbo. Some people just vent the catch can to atmo. You're sure to get many different opinions. What I will say is your method currently will not work.

Yea, I'm pretty much set on doing that. Just had to reason out all the options. OnTheChip makes a good point about the resolution of LC-1... realistically the LC-1 is only accurate to +- 0.1AFR anyway. I'm also been dabbling a bit in Arduino stuff. Have some interesting projects as well as some fail...

Re: Nismotronicsa
So both are 10 bit....so, maybe I'm incorrect here (I'm a mechanical and not an electrical engineer) but it would actually be better to use the O2 input sensor than the ADC. Here's the logic - using the O2 sensor and a divide by half voltage divider (or programming the WB02 to output between 0-2.5V)...

Re: Nismotronicsa
As luck would have it, one of my ecus is from a California emissions convertible (at least according to the list on jimwolftechnology) so hopefully I can get the iat to work. If not I will have to use one of the ADC inputs. On the note of the programming vs voltage divider on the lc1 - I wonder if I...

Re: Nismotronicsa
Good point on the programmable output, hadn't thought about that. That's defiantly the route I am going to take.
Now to figure out the ECU model issue. Maybe tomorrow I'll take a look at the FSM and see if there's any info on models that used the EGR temp sensor.

Re: Nismotronicsa
For the iat you only use a resistor inline, no voltage divider. Check the nismotronic manual, it has a diagram and what resistor to use. That is how I have mine setup in my daily. I am running a CA emissions ecu but I couldn't get the iat to work through the ecu itself with a gm sensor, only with t...

Re: Nismotronicsa
Since there is a subject for this, I thought I would just post these questions here: 1) When sitting up IAT for speed density based tuning, the setup guide says if you have an EGR temp sensor pin for your ECU you can use this, otherwise you have to use one of the ADC w/ a voltage divider. My questio...

Here's a couple mostly stock pulls. The first ones I actually logged, was just trying to get Virtual Dyno to work correctly. Good luck. That code drove me crazy for quite some time. The kink I found as actually in the loom between injectors 3 and 4. I was unwrapping the thing to try and find a short and I did. You can check this easily by disconnecting both the ECU and the knock sensor and check for continuity between the...

Re: Having a problem
I had a similar issue that ended up being a kink in the harness near the injectors where the inner wire had poked through to the shielding, effectively shorting it out. Fixed that and it fixed the code 34.

I'd agree, flame wrench. I wouldn't worry about getting it too hot - you are far enough from the flanges that you don't need to worry about warping it as long as you are sane with the heat. Remember that water pipe is made to have 200F+ water running thought it. The pipe good sealant stuff should le...

That is correct, if you want to run it with stock ecu and not tuning, you will have to run the stock MAF. It won't run as well as it could, but it will run fine with stock injectors, maf, and ECU. I don't know how much the intake manifold willl make to the tune, but it should drive. Like I said in m...

Well, it's not entirely a dumb question, but the answer depends on what you want to do NA. If you just want to be able to drive it? Yea. However, you may have less power than stock due to the lower compression ratio. Additionally, depending who you talk to about motor-break in procedures, some may s...

You can also run a BMC from a 90s pathfinder that will get your brake lines on the other side. YOU will have to modify the lines, but it helps some.
