He had no chance, also raced '91-92 Trans am gta 350 with 150hp shot of nos on my new setup, 12psi t25, 8:1fmu, 3'' TBE and only lost by 2-3 car lenghts

are you running an open bov? if you are and your safc settings arent set it could be venting/leaking at idle causing you to run rich

The bov will work open to atmo. with the proper decel settings
and you do need a restrictor with a T25, cant remeber right now but if you search u should be able to find the number.
Thats what I did.
As for the plugs, search that too. Shouldnt be to hard to find
