Re: Nistune Launch Control S13
Correct me if I'm wrong but that box seems to be a simple rev limiter that is activated by a switch. Setting a lower rev limit won't build boost alone, timing must be retarded. Unless there's something I'm missing, that box wouldn't build that kind of boost?

Re: Nistune Launch Control S13
To tune Nistune to build boost he would have to retard timing only under a certain condition (i.e. speed, switch of sorts, etc.) which Nistune cannot do in it's current state for the KA24DE ECU. So he had to have something else done to the tune to allow that to be changed.

Re: Nistune Launch Control S13
I spoke with Andy at Auto Vaughn Performance who I purchased Nistune from, and he confirmed that he is able to do the reflash. As of right now Nistune does not have an official update available but plans to have one by years end. He said that there is a third party reflash that allows the tuning of ...

Re: Nistune Launch Control S13
It was my understanding that as long as you built the tune off of a .bin that had the hack in it you could implement it. 8-bit had stated something along the lines of someone erasing EGR code and writing in new code in it's place. You would need to adjust the settings via Tunerpro but it could be do...

Nistune Launch Control S13
So I've been trying to set LC on my Nistune board and just can't get it to work. I've uploaded other people's tunes that have LC enabled and just copied all my maps over (Copy maps, select all). Made sure they had the rev limiters set in TunerPro, aaaaaaand nothing. I've tried downloading the "...

Re: Some kind of rattle
Any update on this noise? Mine is making a VERY similar noise as yours. Also fully built with only about 1,000mi on it. The video that you took sounds exactly like mine does.

I thought I was seeing things too. If you look closely at the third picture, it looks like the right rear tire is also backward... so rotate the right rear and left front, and call it a day.mmmS13 wrote:The front right tire is backwards? Or am I not seeing it right...?
All of that aside.....I want one.

update....
Just wanted to let everyone know that my cams were indeed off by that much... I retarded them an entire tooth, then played with the cam gears and got it to run... however the powerband sucked...nothing until like 4k... Now... this is where I'm confused.... I retarded each cam by one entire tooth, wh...

I changed the timing on quite a few occasions, either advancing or retarding, or taking back to stock once or three times... so I'm positive I'm not off by a tooth... I'm going to double check my valve lash... I was told the machine shop did it after clearancing the head for the cams, but I guess th...

problems degreeing cams...update 07/06
So after reading about the problems everyone has been having with BC V3's... I decided it would be a good idea to degree mine (they ran at stock settings... just like ****...). So I take everything apart, found TDC, set the degree wheel/pointer/motor at 0 degrees TDC... get the dial indicator set on...

It seems as though, where I moved my fusebox to, it was allowing some moisture to get in, therfore causing the short to not let the headlights go down... The car has been in the garage for a week now (ever since I had the problem). When I hit the switch last night, they went down and stayed down. I ...

Thanks! Always nice to hear it from someone else. Both fuse boxes are under the headlights on either side... other wiring is in the fenders, main harness goes through the fire wall in a little bit of a different place to keep it out of view for the most part. Now... if I could only figure out these ...

I've been snowboarding for a few years now... I pretty much live at the bottom of Blue Mt. in PA... not a very big mountain, but you can't beat a 5 minute drive... I mainly just ride the trails... after taking a few nasty bails in the park, I skipped outta it. I'm not commited enough to bust my ass ...
