"Successfully" reverted from Turbo to NA
Long story short everything turbo related that gets hot snapped, cracked, or seized so I pulled all the junk off and replaced it all with an NA enthalpy tune (so i could keep z32 maf) and an isr header. Tested it and to my surprise it ran very well minus a few vaacum leaks that got taken care of qui...

Re: List of Build Parts for my future KA-T(500-650hp goal)
Another thing you may want to think about is cooling. Everybody tells you how fun turbo is but nobody tells you about how damn hot it makes everything. A small oil cooler would definitely assist any aluminum rad/fan setup you have (especially if you live in the south). Personally, I found it necessa...

Re: ***New Xcessive oil pan***
I called Xcessive right after I posted this and they seemed to agree. I was just wondering because when sitting still at idle either on startup or taking off from a stop, I see the faintest lightish blue/white puff come from the exhaust. That's the only time I ever see it. Maybe bad valve stem seals...

Re: ***New Xcessive oil pan***
Quick question. Just installed the xcessive pan with the sr20 sump as pictured on their website. My shop seems to think that the oil level should be higher than the high mark on the dipstick and I'm trying to tell them that doesn't make sense. Yes the pan holds more oil but because it is larger and ...

Re: Melted Brake Fluid Reservoir.
So far I wrapped the upper end of the downpipe, installed a turbo blanket (Kind of, its way too small) and bought that stuff that adamky recommended. It's like some kind of stainless steel cardboard basically and it's insane how well it works. Rather than wrapping the master cylinder I made it into ...

They said to be sure to put a filter on the end though because as the fuel inside the tank heats, and cools it will create pressure, or vacuum (which could suck **** up in there if unfiltered). Personaly i would leave it open because its a vent for a reason, yes when you open the cap it does woosh,...

Not sure but I do know from personal experience that when the paint on your hood starts boiling that it's a good time to pull over and grab a fire extinguisher.modulation wrote:What temp range is good for BMC reservoir and metal body?

Re: Melted Brake Fluid Reservoir.
The picture posted above is exactly where my turbo sits as well. It seems like the only real solution is to redo my manifold and dp setup or brake booster delete. I have a heat shield and turbo blanket installed but I'm not too confident that those two things alone can prevent a 1500F pipe from melt...

Melted Brake Fluid Reservoir.
Like the title says, my turbo melted my brake reservoir and caused a small fire a while back. I replaced all the melted vac lines and fluid reservoir as well as installed a turbo blanket and have a heat shield on the way. Despite the heat prevention efforts, the turbo is still really close to the br...

Wheels and extra bumpers/fenders in the attic. Ironically I don't drift lol. I keep wheels for when I want new look/don't want to buy tires right away and bumpers for wrecks/practicing bodywork. I should start keeping extra gaskets though

Had I not brought my car to Motion Lab my turbo probably would've blown too. Some other shop put my bung for the return line at the bottom of the pan, had the oil line run LOWER than the pan itself and used some kind of metal bondo **** instead of welding the bung. Damn domestic builders. Only impor...

frsport.com is the one I have spent the most money on. I'm in South Carolina and they're out California and I still get 3 day shipping and orders over $100 are free shipping majority of the time. Just bought the Xcessive Oil Pan off Enjukuracing.com like an hour ago which has great parts and carries...

I'll look into the alternator/starter some more. Fuel pump won't turn on or prime so there's no way the engine is flooded right now. Just a little update. I have spark and the new Aeromotive pump is in. I tried to hardwire the pump with my own relay like the sticky thread said but still no luck. I'm not too handy with a multimeter but I'm willing to bet it's something electrical. My first question is which wire is the power wire ...

Ultimately it's up to you. Although I think the GT30 would be a better choice for what you're trying to achieve. Not to mention you said your bottom end is already built so it can take the abuse. If I were spending $1300 on a turbo, I don't think the GT28 would even be on my option list. Not that it...

Re: S14 KA-T Cranks But Wont Turn Over
In my head I didn't want to accept that it was the fuel pump because it's a brand new walbro. Well turns out the fuel filter sock fell off of that brand new walbro and the pump sucked up some junk it probably shouldn't have. I hit the pump with compressed air and a bunch of black fuel stuff came sho...

What did you guys do as far as the wiring goes for the E2448 pump since the s14 harness won't fit on it? I popped the two wires out of the harness (the one already in the car) and it looks like I can connect them each directly to the two prongs sticking out on the pump. I was going to do this but I ...

Enthalpy is great. I have one of their tunes as well and from day 1 I had no issues. I thought I did so I called them and they helped me work through MAF issues not related to their ECU and it got my car running. Perfect idle from the very second I plugged it in even with the wrong fuel.

So long story short this past summer I was driving the KA freshly boosted and everything was running nice. One day I make a U turn and mid way through spool in second gear the car just died. Hasn't started since. I'm thinking it could be a fuel issue? I checked the relay and that was good. I'm going...
