just curious, if you are doing a full build on your customers motor and he is unsure about the differences then why does he not want to use the stock motor as the rebuild and kill any idea of differences? i mean its not like he is taking out the ka to put a swap in. he is still running a ka.

the blocks for the DE motors are all identical and share all parts with these exceptions:
upper timing cover
valve cover
cams

hell iirc even the truck DE blocks are the same which could be why the code is different but thats just a thought.

its not recommended to just run on a ecu tune.like said by op it needs to be fine tuned at certain points in the rpm band.dyno tuned specifically. yea i understand that point. also my mind set is different. i have a consult, tunerpro r/t, and martin(enthalpy) is about 90 minutes from where i live. ...

i would buy a 255 pump before you go any further. no sense in puttin all this money into it just to go boom. and go with the n62. that way down the road when you want more power you dont have to buy another maf. setup otherwise looks very good and can make for some fun power.

if im not mistaken the stg 3 is a puck clutch and if you are slipping that bad on a puck id say check the pp or flywheel. also you said you maintained a constant 2700? the consistant engagement and disengagement of the clutch over 500 miles is what actually breaks them in. if you just went through a...
