just wanted to thank everyone on this site for their contributions. I learned A LOT from this site, which helped me get my car to the point it's at now. Love is definitely the best way to describe those who enjoy the bond they have with THEIR car. problem solved, hard wired the ecu up to a power source and ground and managed to get it connected to my laptop that way, turns out the calibration on the ecu was wrong so i changed it to the correct .CAL for my car and reinstalled it making sure the harness was plugged in really good and BAM fuel p...

thanks for the reply, i'll definitly check that out, but i hear the clicking in the fuse box in the engine bay, passenger side. maybe it's an echo, but i don't recall the car having an alarm on it. based on me not having a clicker for the alarm.

anywho, i bought me a series 2 Aem ems used and i'm having trouble getting it to connect to my lap top. it's the 10-6600 model and my laptop is using windows 7 os...i've checked the aem site and haven't found anything on compatibility issues. I did not install the new CAS disk, BUT when i installed ...

bitter sweet is for sure :P i just relocated my fuse box...spend the entire day without eatting and screwed it up then i re-did it and got it to work and i felt great...i litereally ran out of my garage and jumped with joy and my neighbors saw me and looked at me like i was crazy lol.... in anycase,...

to add, i had a bad day at work the other day and i found myself going into the garage around midnight and working on the car...helped me calm immensly ^_^

problem fixed, not sure what it was but i shortened the wires again and just relocted the box behind the front bumper support underneath the passenger headlight, the stock wires were long enough to do so, had to extend the power wires and one other plug and that was pretty much it :) thanks for advi...

Fuel pressure is showing stock around 34.. can't check spark yet cuz I.don't have an extra hand but I'm leaning towards that. And all my wires are soldered together...only my accessory wire is crimped

as the title says i relocated my fuse box to my glove compartment...i extended the wires one by one to the respective wires on the box (yes i cut them, but kept them labeled). i used 14 and 18 gauge wiring for the thinner wires and 10 gauge for the thicker... when i go to start the car i hear the fu...

thank you my S13 is my second love, my first was my 97 mitsu eclipse with the 420a...i learned off that car and boosted it with help, but i transfered that knowledge into my 240 and it's better than ever...it's an attachment and almost an extension of myself. i look at it and see myself.

Just as the title says...i want to know what drives all of you to build your cars..call me a sap or just really in touch with my emotions, but we all have a reason to build and drive our creations. So whats yours? for me, i built/building my car because it creates an enjoyment inside me that i can't...

welp i did everything i could but im' just gonna scrap the neo and go standalone, i only got it because it is what i used before on my dsm and didn't have any issues "prolly cuz it was a map sensor motor" in anycase i switched back to my fmu which is giving me a much steadier idle and bett...

har har, well i will do that soon but right now i really would just like to get the idle fine, the motor is a fresh rebuild so it wont see boost for a while especially with a new clutch, but im gonna try to go back to a pull through setup with a recirculated bov to see if that helps it

right now the timing is set to stock and i'm only gonna be on 8 lbs i'm just testing to get everything running right, i'm gonna try swapping out my o2 sensor to see if that helps and my maf to see if something is wrong with the one on it right now...cuz for some reason the neo still isn't' adjusting...

took her around the block and the a/f seems steady and the idle sits firmly at 13,

like i mentioned i'm only using the neo at the moment...so i figured thats all i needed to do the tuning with right? i gave it a box tune to get it up and running but when its warmed up the values wont change if i mess with it...i double checked the fuel pressure and its right where it should be abo...

i started her back up this morning and when its cold the wideband reads between 14 and 15 and with the neo i am able to adjust the fuel, but after it warms up the wideband sits at about 12.2 steadily and i am unable to adjust the fuel even with turning it all the way up or down, there is no change.....

I just switched my maf over to a blow through due too the draw through didn't work for me...the car idled perfect and revs and what not but the a/f ratio at idle is about 12.5...I'm using an apexi neo, i tried correcting the fuel but no go, but I noticed that when I turn off the correction values on...
