Re: Is my ecu chipped? Plus more stupid questions

Okay, previous owner wired it up to use s13 distributor and coil already, all I need is to figure out those two plugs by the headlight. I have been looking through wire diagrams an seems like the only thing "important" in those two plugs are ecu power an fuel pump, both by supplying power ...

Re: Power estimate before turbo

Seems like it for lack of better words, just a stock motor. I'm not sure how the pistons would affect your power, might see a increase due to higher compression, the cams may cause you to lose power as they are for best utilized on a turbo motor. Is my ecu chipped? Plus more stupid questions

Okay, so I bought a dohc swap for my sohc, turbo and tuned alreasy, drop in swap or at least I thought. Wiring has me confused tho. The harness looks to be from an s14 because it doesn't have plugs to mate up with the body harness connectors up near the front passenger headlight. See first attachmen...

Yeah, I looked into enthalpy an jwt a little bit, but it seems like I've heard more that those are hit or miss, an a safc would still kinda be needed for fine tuning as they are purposely tuned rich. Plus I wanna learn, but just reading about all these different choices and not knowing anything from...

tuning help

Who is running what and what do you think of it? I've been looking into ostrich, nistune, safc and right now it kinda just confuses me. Just curious of others personal experiences an with what. My setup will be simple so I think I could get away with a safc but I have heard more bad than good. I am ...

I was hearin that people had to drill the rail out to make them fit. What made you use 1 watt resistors? I heard more using 8- 10 watt. Anyways how long you been using successfully? Here's a good write up to wiring in resistors : http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f75/how-make-install-resistor-box-low-...

dsm injectors??

I recently came across some 450cc injectors from a turbo eclipse. I have heard some places that they will work an some other places that they won't due to the larger diameter of the injector where it fits in the fuel rail. I can't seem to get a straight answer just searching so I was curious if anyo...

yeah, thats what i was thinking. thats why i wanted to know exactly what to be looking for when buyin a "rebuilt" motor. i figured that for a 500 dollar price tag, if it were an actual rebuilt motor that is a good deal. o well, i would rather build it myself too, good learning experience. ...

i have a sohc that is a junkyarded engine that i was hoping to rebuild in the near future, came across this one already rebuilt 2k miles ago, seems like a good idea (money and time wise) to just buy this one rather than buy everything an install myself.... not to mention my first rebuild. anyways, j...
