Tail light removal on a 95 240
I got some Phillips LED tail lights for my 240, and i was wondering if there is a guide on how to remove them. I have the sticky gooey stuff to seal them in, but I don't want to crack anything as I'm taking off. I tried googling, but I guess my search strings sucked, because I didn't get much in the...

Re: S15 BMC clearance for turbo
youll have to hammer in the strut tower about 1/2" or so to clearance the banjo fittings you will need to use. I have the s14 RHD master and booster. I didn't have to beat the strut tower one bit. If you tweak the lines just right, there is no beating involved. Of course, you have to add line ...

Re: S15 BMC clearance for turbo
ok maybe no one has the s15 BMC, does anyone have any clearence issues with BMCs that move the piping to the other side to prevent it from being to close to the turbo? I'm sure I can't be the first one to do this.

S15 BMC clearance for turbo
I recently did the 300zx brake upgrade, and i now have the 300zx fronts, and the s14 rears on my 95 240sx. I wanted to swap out the master cylinder, so I could A) eliminate the front brake bias by using the BMC from a car that has the same brake setup I currently do, and B) use a master cylinder tha...

Re: Question on white bunny clutch flywheels
I have unfortunately not had a chance to try this out yet because I have't had the time to put in the turbo for my car and so have not changed my clutch yet. If you do get it working please let us know! ! EDIT: From my research on this it looks like you can use the 280zx clutch and have only 6 of th...

Re: 300zx brake swap brake lines question
I guess post a pick if it's not too much trouble, id like to see. Are the Goodrich lines the same as stock ones?
Honestly I'm just curious because I wanted to see if there were other options.
EDIT: Just saw the picture was there already, it looks like those special lines are the stock 300zx ones.

Re: 300zx brake swap brake lines question
yeah, that's it, I have all that, but there is no way the bracket is mounting onto a 240sx unless I fab my own up, like you said, and even if I did that I would need to come up with a custom hard line because it would not be the same size as the stock one. Currently I'm just rocking the hard line to...

Re: 300zx brake swap brake lines question
Are you talking about the bracket that usually holds the center of brake line to the front coilover/strut/shock? yeah, I am having trouble finding a picture of it, but there's a squiggly shaped hard line that comes off the 300zx brake caliper, and then there is a bracket that connects that hard lin...

Re: 300zx brake swap brake lines question
I don't think they are a bad thing at all, but this is mostly a street driven car, and I was hoping not to have to justify the extra expense. Stock replacement lines can be had for less then $20 for all four from reputable manufacturers. Plus like I said they might be overkill for me, after finishin...

300zx brake swap brake lines question
Is there any way I can get away with NOT having to buy steel braided lines to complete this swap? (I did the front only) I've done everything on my car to complete this except get brake lines that work. I had opted for the 300zx brake lines with the brackets and hardware partly because I thought it ...

Re: rear hubs stuck (rusted)
Well I got out there and tried, got a 12 ton gear puller and I got one hub off, the other actually seperated! Lol, I was sitting there looking at bearings. The Axel itself moved freely, but the back part of the hub is frozen to the suspension. Any ideas on how to get that last piece off?

rear hubs stuck (rusted)
I have a 95 240sx and this weekend I was replacing the hubs on the rear of the car. I got everything unbolted and all the rusty nuts off, but I can't for the life of me get the hubs of the axel of the car. I tried beating them with a hammer, penetraiting oil, and even renting a slide hammer from ...

Alignment/suspension question
Recently I went and had my 95 240 aligned because i noticed it looked like the rear had way too much negative camber, the front lined up perfectly but the rear would not get better then -3 camber. This struck me as strange because i had this car aligned before with the same setup. For a long time no...

Tomei universal oil pan baffle
Has anyone here used this? It looks kinda cheap, and I'm not to sure about the durability of the rubber baffle plates they use. I can imagine one wearing out, falling off, and clogging up the oil pickup. I don't want to totally cheap out, but I'm doing a bit of a budget build and i don't want to go ...

Re: Take a look at my setup am I missing anything obvious?
Get a larger wastegate spring... lol It will save you having to spend money on a boost controller later. 550cc injector will support 350whp safely. I'd go with 12psi spring. I already have an hks evc 1, I know it's ancient, but I want to start off slowly, plus I don't plan on driving around with lo...

I was searching around and I saw a post about a Viper swinging oil pickup, does this still exist? Where can you get it? I have not been able to find one. For that matter does anyone make a swinging oil pickup for the KA?

Take a look at my setup am I missing anything obvious?
Please let me know if I'm missing anything really obvious here. This build is going into my 95 with 200k on the chassis and 60k on the engine. THINGS I HAVE: 1) hx30 2) cast manifold <--- Crappy ebay one. Does anyone know where I can source the Greddy cast iron mount? 3) STI 550 yellow injectors 4) ...

Yeah I noticed how bad that was, I was going to port mine as well, and add some extra material on to the number 4 port. I didn't get any gaskets with mine though, I will pick some up at some point and stay away from aluminum. How did you cover the t3/t4 holes on the outside that go all the way throu...

It basically changes the a/r on the turbine side from as low as .2 to as high as 1.8. Allows you to build boost low and not run out of flow up high. I gotta feeling that this is waaaay more work than you want though. Some people use servos with a stand alone, some use internal waste gates and manif...

HE351ve... probably more work than you want to put in but given the requirements (Holset/300hp/quick spool) this is probably the best of all worlds. Problems: not a standard t3/t4 flange, HUGE turbine housing, difficult to manage the vane operation properly, basically a pita. If you look in this di...
