I have ran 20psi on a vf 34 for a season, 21psi on a 20g for a season, and then 23psi on a gt3076 for a season. It loves it. I made about 370whp.

I've used mech lifters with a whole bunch of cams, including stock. Also, running 10psi on a turbo like that is no going to be all that fun. I am a firm believer in running mid to high boost on smaller turbos for a really good street/track setup. If you have ever gotten a ride in a car running about...

If you have a standalone, just get rid of the idle control motor. Idles way better. You might have to adjust the throttle plate alittle and lean the idle out a bit, but its way better.

You have to run that bypass line, when the thermostat is closed, it has to be able to circulate through the block. Believe me, I tried to block it, then my upper hose exploded within 10 minutes. The water pump has to be able to pull the coolant from the back of the block if the thermostat is closed.

Driving a Datsun naked

This is basically a small build thread for my 71 Datsun 510. I may not keep up with this every week, but it will give me some where to put my progress. Well, I basically parted out my s14 of 7 years, and it was a sad day. I have always wanted a 510, but they are just so hard to find and are usually ...

Nissan Motorsports CNC head

Just thought some of you might be interested in seeing the same head as they use in the gt4 cars. The valve diameter is larger, but the valve stems are smaller than stock for more airflow.

I personally would never go bigger than a GT3076r on any 4 cylinder. Too much lag for me. That turbo will do over 400whp pretty easily.

I only have a couple of random things left from the car, but 99% of everything is gone. CR kai's are gone. Don't worry though, I have the SOHC going in a 510, stay classy.

The stock oil pump is more than adequate for a turbo and a small to medium oil cooler setup. If you really feel the need for more oil volume just run the turbo pump. The best thing you can do, is to make a baffled oil pan. BTW the average cost to run a dry sump oil system is $2400. Run the turbo pum...

who starts a pull at 4,500 rpms? What turbo are you running. I consider my engine very low on power compared to any motor in the same displacement. But with 3076 at 18psi, I was at 330whp and 330wtq. I ended up at 370whp and 350wtq at 23psi. I consider that low, but thats just how much my engine wil...

That sounds about right for a SOHC at 12-15lbs to be high 200's. These motors don't flow much air. You need to force it in. My motor loves to be anywhere from 20-25psi. Make sure you have enough injector, and watch for detonation, and just turn the boost up. You need more boost!

I made 305whp on 93 at 20psi on a TD05h 7cm 20g (smallest 20g). On a DOHC you should have no problem hitting at least 325whp on a TD05h 7cm 20g. 20g's go like this TD05h 7cm/ smallest TD05h 8cm/ slightly more top end (about 10-20whp) Favorite!!!! boost everywhere and pulls the top end TD06 7cm/ abou...

TD06 20g 8cm.

400whp, 400wtq, e85

Thats it. Best street turbo ever. i would know.

Although I am going back to my TD05 20g 8cm for a little more spool. I like boost down low. You will thank me later if you go with a td06 20g.

Static compression is different the dynamic compression. A static compression test is just used to determine if each of the cylinders are sealing properly. You are really only looking for the same reading between cylinders. This cam isn't really efficient below 2000rpms, thats why your readings are ...

Once you start to get over 8,000rpms then this becomes something that you need. Sustained vibrations at high rpm is what causes premature bearing and crank failure, (not taking in to account oiling system). Race teams used to break the snout off the cranks all the time before they drilled the crank ...
