I don't know the history of the engine but I do know that the valve dents are fresh. The part on the piston where the valves were hitting are nice and shiny with no carbon buildup on that area at all. The dents are on the exhaust side.

Valve question

I didn't know where else to post this so sorry if its in the wrong place. So I took my ka24de head off a few days ago and saw that my pistons had little valve dents in them, all four of them. I decided to take it to a machine shop to check out if the valves were still good and not bent. A couple day...

I was talking of a conventional battery switch, not an external one for the track. Obviously that's what he was looking for and others chimed in to clarify. Then you come in and like quadruple clarify such a simple topic that it dosnt need explaining 4 times in 1 thread. I get it, ok. I will have a...

Ouch lol How many times do you intend to edit your post to out me? Sheesh bud you got family problems or something? Chill out. You asked a question and I answered it. Yes, the battery needs to be inside the car while its on because they both help each other keep going I didn't include that, fine you...

So do me a favor, start your car, remove the battery, then go drive around. Tell me how your car runs. Then come back and say the whole sphiel again about how the alternator does all the work after you start it. . Thanks for the lesson on how this mysterious device works though. Seems to me like th...

How would a motor produce electricity with no fuel and no battery power again? The battery only has one use, and that is to start the engine. After that It's the Alternator doing all the work. A cut off switch is required to run at a drag strip. Just in case you get in an accident and your weak fra...

Leave the relay up front, you only need a 12 or 14 gauge wire from the rear cut off switch to one side of the relay. An inline fuse would also be a wise choice. Chassis ground from the relay, and the in and out from the alt. You are going to wire it up like any other high amp acc such as a fan for ...

Very Nice. Ok So, What I'm getting is I should take off the positive wire off of the alternator. Bolt up another wire(8ga) to it and run it back to the rear. Then Wire it to a 150AMP relay right? Then Run another 8ga wire from the relay(in the trunk) all the way back(engine bay) and bolt it up to th...
