Re: Conversion Harness Diagnostic Help Nistune wont connect

I decided that I was done dealing with the ECU and conversion harness. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the harness. Whether or not its the car/harness/ ECU working together or if just the harness is the problem.. I dont know. Had Andy put a type 4 board in a 96 ECU and got it in the mail yesterd...

Re: Conversion Harness Diagnostic Help Nistune wont connect

I assume its not powering up. I have not checked. I need to cut some wires to test if the ECU is powering up?

Yes, I can connect to my factory S14 ECU via consult.

Yes, I have used the board and harness before. Sent the ECU to AVP a couple of weeks ago and was told it was fine.

Re: Conversion Harness Diagnostic Help Nistune wont connect

Thanks Adam. I remember talking to you before when I wanted to make my own. Even if I connect the consult, the ECU will still not connect? The motor turns over, but does not start. I cannot hear the fuel pump come on either.

Conversion Harness Diagnostic Help Nistune wont connect

1997 Nissan 240sx -Several months ago I was driving around and then *poof* the car shut off. Everything seemed fine, just was not getting spark. Turned over normal. Also couldn't hear the fuel pump coming on. -Thought I had an ECU issue, so I bought another S14 ECU. Throwing money at parts always so...

Re: Nistune first start, scared

I know they have the type 4 board. I came across a good deal on a whole setup with the s13 board. Thats the only reason. But yeah, NA for now, getting everything ready for boost. Z32 maf, rb20 turbo, 370cc injectors. Got the stock s13 tune from the hosted and posted and picked up a s13 maf over the ...

Nistune first start, scared

Just got my conversion harness in from rywire. Disconnected the battery, plugged in the harness and s13 nistune ECU and reconnected the battery. Took the tune that was on the ecu and saved it. Now if I burn the stock s13 tune onto the ecu and crank it, am I okay to start or is there anything else I ...

Oil pressure getting inaccurate read from sandwich plate

I was told than running a sandwich plate for my autometer oil pressure sender would not give an accurate reading for some reason. Is this correct? Also it has enough pressure to feed the turbo, correct? And another oil pressure thread on here said not to use a t-fitting because the senders aren't me...

Re: Factory wiring/battery relocation

Right, Ill be running 2 gauge wire also from the trunk. But I am wondering what size wire the starter and alternator are that connect to the battery post through the big red clip. So I can just run the 2 gauge wire to a distribution block, cut the ends off the starter/alternator wires and put them i...

So I was reading here : http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=53301&p=452177&hilit=battery+relocation#p452177 about using a battery distribution block for the starter and alternator wires. My question is if I use a block it is as simple as just connecting all three wires? (the ...

rb25 turbo from bottom to top mount

I have an rb25 turbo and im tyring to use it on a top mount setup. The thing is that the outlet pipe would be hitting the head of the KA if it was on the manifold. But when I turn the compressor housing, the wastegate doesn't line up. What are suggestions for making this work?

Bolt broke off in alternator

So come to find out after putting my motor all together and having it running. The bolt that goes through the upper bracket/tensioner broke off and some of it was left in the alternator. I don't know what the best option is, I'll probably just end up getting a new one. But I cannot get the power wir...
