Re: Stil Bil Story/Putting it back together
Not sure why but the sides of some of the photos were cut off, i promise it was not me. My parents are professional photographers and would kill me if i took something like that.

Re: Stil Bil Story/Putting it back together
Well here goes, **disclaimer** All photos will be under text Feb '13 marked the end of my KA-T dreams. She began overheating and idling funny then mystery coolant on the ground. compression test revealed all 4 to be in specs however the over all gap from high to low across all 4 was 28psi, this is d...

Motor and Cam break in at once
I've been reading up and i want to use the Motoman Method but i have brand new JWT S1 Cams.
The breakin for the cams clashes with the Motoman method. Should i "combine" the 2 methods or just say F it and do the Motoman method?
Thanks,
Bil

Re: heavily modded NAKA tb question
I did but decided against them.
1. The car will be more than a track car(if ever)
2. I already spent the cash on the godspeed pos knock off and had the plenum taking up spaceand figured I'd better use some of that 350 bucks I spent o it.

heavily modded NAKA tb question
My current build sits with stock upper runners, xcessive plenum, 11.5:1 comp, JWT S1 cams, JWT cam gears, hotshot header and full 3" exhaust from the header back. Should I use the Q45 TB or at a minimum 65mm? Increased plenum size, longer duration cams and higher comp with free flowing in and o...

Re: N/A KA is happening
Ok, so I'm finally home and gathering(buying) everything I need to complete the "getting her on the road" phase of the 240 project. The entire intake side of this project is giving me a headache. ITBs seem to be not a real option for a DD/street driven car. I have a stupid GodSpeed manifol...

N/A KA is happening
Ive posted this before, changed my mind and now I am back to it. No swaps, no turbo just an unmolested 240 new plant, new paint and new susp. Rebuild motor, decided to go with the SOHC swap. Everything is currently at the machine shop. Had to go 40 over, gotta love a junk yard motor. Also getting th...

KA24DE Head differences
Hey all, I picked up a freshly rebuilt head from a s13 DE, had it cleaned and decked. I've been doing some reading and apparently the head i already have(96) and the head i just had work done to are not 100% the same. I HAD NO IDEA. Will there be fit issues using the older head on a newer block. I d...

I already had a turbo on her. I think Mechanical failure on the intake side of things is what may have caused my trouble. Either way, I think i just want a simple reliable setup reguardless of power(dont think I can get close to 180 whp) that I can drive daily. get her repainted and drop a little an...

Branching out -- NA questions
Given my other post and thinking I dont want to deal with the hassle of a turbo again. I have a theoretical NA build setup I'd like input on. Obviously my poor KA needs a rebuild so: Rebuilt block using RPM Machine rebuild kit using the 10.5:1 pistons 20 over(only change from the stock rebuild kit) ...

Well, the current KA is toast. It was a 10 year dream that was accomplished but didn't pan out. My motor isn't usable anymore time to decide. Do I rebuild the KA and potentially have it blow again, do I swap a Sr or ls1 or do I do something different like a Chevy c6 vortex. when I get back, mid Octo...

That's a nice bluebird. I have one but its a 1993 fwd automatic. I'm trying to see if I can swap in a 5 speed stick and rebuild the ka24de and possibly turbo it. I like the setup u have for that car, and honestly it's the best U13 I've seen in my life. Not too many people drive these things anymore...
