Perfect! Thank you sir. I can't wait to get this build together.beercandrifter wrote:being pinned in the back of your seat by 3400-3500rpm
~300hpish with that psi normal compression and some cams
I was hitting 18 psi by 3600rpm with my hx35 12cm housing, if I would have kept my tuned ecu I would still be driving it.

Auto trans life expectancy.
Using an inline cooler, how long can I expect the stock auto trans to last at 250whp? What about 350hp?
I've done some searching on here but there hasn't been much. Most people just do a 5 speed swap (I have a 5 speed, just not ready to put it in), or if they're set on auto go with a Z32 trans.

Don't waste time buying a cheaper solution for NA, then a nistune later. Nistune IS the cheaper version for good tuning, compared to full standalones. Anything below the calibre of nistune/megasquirt is not worth looking at. Its all a waste of time and money. I don't see why not. I'm in a particula...

Welcome to the tuning section. Thanks! we have answers. and wheb the forum fails to inform, i pm you my cell number.... lol. You are the man! I've read some of your posts :). You should look into Nistune or diypnp or maybe a nismotronic. All three are very desirable. They're also very expensive. I'...

Noob questions galore.
I've decided to learn the basics of tuning. I have a NA KA24DE, that I recently removed emissions on. Now the car is running rich; I mean really rich. Like having to fill up every 4-5 days rich. I was getting about 28mpg, now I'm getting like 18mpg. I knew it would run a little rich, but damn! My go...

Buying an S13 KA24DE Oil Pump
I'm looking for an oil pump for a bulletproof KA-T build. What are my options? Searching Courtesy Parts, pulls up this: http://www.courtesyparts.com/kb_search_result.php?chassis_id=9&keywords=oil+pump&Submit_Button=Go&cat=1 What's wrong with buying the oil pump and reusing the old cover?...

You don't simply choose to either have or not to have piston slap, it all depends on the type of material the pistons are made of and how much they will expand inside of the bore. I would strongly recommend boring your block to the recommended tollerances that come with the Arias Pistons. Thats wha...

Yeah, I understand what ya'll are saying. But I've never torn apart a block before, and I'm quite afraid to do so. I have eagle rods, arp head studs, white bunny clutch, walbro 255 all waiting in the parts pile, just anxious i guess. From the people I talked to I would be looking at 2-2.5k to put e...

Thanks guys, that is comforting. I just really wanted to know what I'm getting into instead of buying a laptop and thinking all my problems are fixed Anyone running Calumsult on windows 7 though? I messed with the IACV for a good bit and it did not change anything. Also messed with the ignition timing to make sure it was all right and it was. When you checked your ignition timing, was the car at 650RPMs? Was your TPS disconnected? I dunno how advanced you are with these cars, I'm just a nov...

Sprayed around the bay, found a couple of leaks around the intake manifold and fixed them all, but I still cannot get the car to idle correctly. It drives completely fine but idle is still terrible. Sound like bad cam timing? Could the distributer be off? Check your timing! Have you tried adjusted ...

Thanks for the help man. It's much appreciated. Buy a can of starting fluid and start spraying it around your bay. If your engine revs, you're in the vicinity of a leak. I've got a mild one behind my intake manifold. I did have a huge one coming from one of my brake booster hoses that I cracked rep...
