I miss this guy's updates. Where did you go savatoge??? KA MM! What's been going on, Brother? I've been off in The Wilderness, working for The Man...moved to a different company, travelling a whole lot these days. Then, when I get home, I mostly want to spend time with the kids. Found this link outlining the procedure for S13 axles:

http://www.garage411.com/AxlesS13

So would this be the same procedure for all other rear axles from the Nissan family of the early to mid 90's? S14, Z32, G50, J30, etc?

CV joint removal from axle shaft.

I want to disassemble my axles to service the CV joints. Checked out a couple videos on YouTube...found one where a guy showed how to remove a CV joint from an axle. However in this case, it was for a 4 wheeler ATV axle, he had the proper brass punch for the cv joint "whack" and he only de...

I'd like to get some info too. I just ordered a new set of pump gears, and a new regulator set for my front cover. I want to make it pump a little more than stock. I hear you can shim them, so I got some research to do. Operating oil pressure is a pretty complex topic. With that in mind, it helps t...

KA24DE oil pump performance data

Anyone know what the DE oil pump flow specs are at different RPM points? I've been searching all over the place to find some kind of data on what kind of GPM flow values the DE oil pump produces at different RPM points. I know that this can vary depending on the type of oil being used and oil temps,...

i am crazy huh, your saying if hes tuned to 11.9 on his WB with 93oct 10% in reality its 11.4...so i was thinking backwards? i thought ethanol requires more fuel so it would go the opposite way...more ethanol % = more lean. Don't confuse the reading he saw on his dyno pull with what happens to air ...

I don't know how to interprete lambda... but your wideband is programed to report 14.7 @ lambda... so 14.7 IS lambda....no? i ask b/c we kind of got into this in the WMI tuning thread. Yeah, s...

is there anything i should know about using and tuning with 10% ethanol? almost all the gas stations here are 10% ethanol and i didnt know if that would make any effects on my 93oct tune that im using. I understand what you are saying, but see my previous post...the version of CalumSult that I am using is the one that streams Consult data into LogWorks...so the narrowband output is exactly what the ECU is seeing. My narrowband voltage output (that I posted above) is averaging lower than 0.45V...I'...

Also, note that my narrowband voltages are what is being read from the ECU via the Consult port...so what my wideband AFRs are actually reading is irrelevant to the fact the my narrowband voltages are not averaging out to 0.45 volt. Time to check the FSM and verify that the narrow band is good I gue...

"The AFR bounces because the ECU adds fuel to force the AFR rich until the narrow band crosses 14.7 to the rich side, then removes fuel until the NB crosses 14.7 to the lean side." So what would the issue be then, if I never see the AFRs go above 14.6 when the ECU is trimming in closed loo...

Ok, I got it now...the key statement OnTheChip made was "and also set the injector pulse width under conditions where the closed loop system is not operating,"

I've been trying some datalogging with the 02 sensor turned off and I can directly see the changes being made in this area.

Regardless of the values in the fuel map, the closed loop system will still try to maintain the AFR around 14.7. Then what's the point of having a closed loop section of the map, that allows values that deviate from 14.7? Ie. Taking a cell that has 0 (open loop), changing to 192 (closed loop) and t...

Closed loop tuning - S13 KA24DE ECU

I'm currently tuning my S13 KA24DE ECU (KA-T setup). Z32 MAF, 740cc Nismo injectors. WOT and general drivability are pretty good, car pulls strong up to 18 to 20psi. However, I'm currently focusing on fine tuning AFRs at cruise. I have a Innovate WB 02 in the downpipe, datalogging via CalumSult into...
