Re: Anti Lag aka ALS explained and discussion

Bumping this up as its rare to be able to talk to somebody who actually has one of these systems working. This picture is pretty informative https://brewedmotors.com/image/cache/data/manufacturers/Brewed/Brewed-rally-anti-lag-kit-install-600x800.JPG But can you explain what the "boost can"...

Re: 1,000hp ka-t

Firstly, learn to use paragraphs, please. If you want to get help and advice from people then don't just throw up a massive wall of text. Secondly if you are seriously intending to drop $30k plus on this build then does it really matter whether the base car has an aftermarket radio and needs some we...

Re: New Project: Mild build

I had the same problem (completely different car) where the wheel bearings had died and damaged the hub slightly. Even with brand new bearings there was too much play. The installed bearing felt fine on the ramp but the car would start pulling side to side, like the back end was breaking loose even ...

Ignore the above, On reviewing the diagram I see that the control feed for the air valve is taken after the throttle? This would mean that it will see vacuum whenever the throttle is closed and boost as soon as it opens? I guess that makes it quite straight forward then. Only other hurdle is how do ...

Blog post started off really well but I was expecting a page 2,3,4 where you went into more detail of what you actually run on your cars and how you make them work. Im interested in the "rally style" ALS system. At its very simplest form can you use a wastegate in the hot pipe to feed the ...

so sick! u may need to move that maf further from the turbo. if you get screwy idle thats a place to look. a T3/T04e is good for 350-400 at 20psi and should see 15psi by 3500rpms (.48 housing earlier) so are you running no tune?!?!?!? The garage think the maf will probably be okay as its only a sma...

From looking at it last night I was going to suggest 11.5 to 12 for full boost afr, if you look at the bhp curve it seems to suffer at 6k once the afr goes above 12.

Less fuel, more hp, less torque?

Or am I missing something.
Power=torque x rpm

All divided by the power of a horse :)

Does anyone see a correlation between AFR's and TQ? Overlayed AFR and Torque graphs from 4k onwards. Seems to show a trend but I could be wrong. I sampled from your graph at 200rpm and input them into a spreadsheet to get this. http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh297/CheekyNinja06/supakatafr.jpg

A MAF will restrict the size of your intake pipework on a draw through setup, but on blow through you will be able to run more power before it becomes a restriction.

This car was originally a Ford lol. Im not sure on the engines history but I think it has always been a manual.

Supakat thanks, I will have another look around at the IACV connections but I think everything is plugged in down there.

Just need to decide what to do about the fusebox..

Help identify plugs

Finally there is a light at the end of the tunnel.. I just need some help identifying what these plugs do and whether I need them or not. This first bunch are on the starter loom and next to the battery connection (which has 2 plugs on it??) I guess they go into a fuse box? http://i259.photobucket.c...
