I was hoping there was something else that engages the starter, i had to drill out the tapped holes on the starter to bolt it up to the truck tranny, maybe it's not aligned properly or something like that. i'm not sure exactly what you mean there, all the wiring in the harness for the starter is connected, my brother tried shorting the starter and it spins but wouldn't engage, hopefully he didn't blow anything on me there. How would i manually trigger it?
