I mean they come out of balance, I start burning oil and can hear metal on metal sound coming from the turbos.
I have been been using 15w40 that a lot of people here are also using.

Turbo Oil Pressure Question
So I am trying to find out why I have fried 2 turbos over 2 summers and I believe it has to do with my oil pressure(too me long enough to smarten up, I know) at the turbo. my oil line setup starts at an oil filter sandwich plate to a -3an line to the turbo utilizing 1/8npt to -3an fittings. Anyways,...

Nice. Why do you have S13 manifold? I have a 5/16 line feeding my HX35. I tried running without restrictor and oil started to seep. I added a restrictor and it is good. I am running Rotella 15w-40 and WOT pulls warm I get 75psi. I do even try pushing it when cold as psi get close to 90psi and I sta...

z32 maf ground Q!
Okay I just ran a little test as I am trying to figure out my random rich/lean issue. I had the car on ON with all accessories on but car off, then I went and checked the voltages at plug for the maf! so the 12v was good, the 5v going to ecu was good, the ground going to chassis was good THEN came t...

Thinks to check: CTS, Coil, CAP, PLUGS. Check ecu for knock codes or test per FSM. oops I forgot to mention I have replaced the CTS(coolant temperature sensor) as well. Ecu is not throwing any codes(just says 55 which I think means everything is okay). one thing I did forget to mention is I do have...

misfire after car is warmed up
Hi everyone, so I am having some issues with my car misfiring after it warms up at part throttle. what happens is when its cold and not at operating temperature it runs fine, accelerates and everything is fine. When it warms up in first and second gear it accelerates just fine but when I hit 3rd/4th...

Definently sounds like the intake gasket would be a good place to start, especially with how bad the leak sounds. ya I am thinking one other step before I got the intake gasket. I am going to check the z32 maf to see if it's getting the correct voltage or not. anyone know what type of voltage is co...

running really rich help!
Hey guys I've run into sort of a weird issue and I am stuck at what it could be. I had noticed that my car would go ridiculously rich(<10 afrs) sometimes and if I let off and go back on the gas it would disappear but lately it does it no matter what I do except if I were to go WOT it goes and sits a...

I don't know much about SAFC tuning because it's generally frowned upon in the KA-T world, but I know that 2in 2out doesn't seem right. I think it's supposed to be 2in 5out but I'm not 100% positive. Anyways, which injectors are they? Low imp or high imp? If they're low imp that's probably what it ...

weird afr issue
So I have finally got the built ka-t to run and be drivable but I have noticed something really weird that I can't explain. when I first turn the car on my afr's are lean(15.5-16, should be around 14.5-15) and after driving around and warming up it goes super rich like 11-12 AND when I am just cruis...

good call. im not hating 8) b/c i did it too, but that wrap on the lines and rez makes it worse (less so the rez), i actually had the whole master wraped with the sticky thermo crap, and in my eyes that and the lines were the problem. theres no quantitive way to prove this but the fact that the own...

Re: GT3076r on a jgs manifold
Hey im going to be purchasing a Garrett GT3076R turbo this week and was wondering if it will fit with the jgs manifold. My main concern is will it be touching/hitting the strut tower? ya running the 76r .82a/r housing and while it comes really close(like about 1cm) it doesnt fully touch but it beco...

So I finally installed my cluster which I received from a seller in europe off a 1994 200sx(their model of a 240sx). here is a pic: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2552/3999669123_301d344bb7.jpg as you can see it goes to 160mph and has a 7k redline(they had a sr in their cars). anyways to installatio...

What are you talking about? I just dropped my transmission the other day and reused my 350z TOB. Unless you put it in backwards, I have no clue why yours isn't working... PS. Adjust your clutch pedal, I had to adjust mine a bit when I switched to a 350z clutch. No I put it on correctly (I'd have to...

what the reason for putting a 350z clutch on? its like the white bunny setup except even bigger contact patch :). I think the white bunny is 240mm while the 350z is closer to 250mm and even on a stock clutch probably holds more than most stage 2-3 clutches out there for the ka-t. For example a stag...

just a quick udpate. the reason I was wondering about this was because I was having slippage after installing a brand new clutch(old one was a used unit with about 5k on it). anyways I thought maybe because i used a wrong TOB it was causing it not to work. found out the reason I was having the issue...

350z clutch in ka-t
Hi I was wondering when using a 350z clutch with a rb20 flywheel are we suppose to use a 350z throw out bearing or a regular 240sx throw out bearing?
Thank you.
Thank you.

weird idle issue
weird issue, tried to turn the car on and it wont stay on unless I blip the gas a couple times, then it holds it idle fine until it warms up then it idles low at like 600rpm and after continuous driving dies. during the driving though there is no issues, revs fine not weird noises or anything. thing...
