CAS/distributor wiring question

I have an s13 dizzy with the 4 pin plug. My issue is that my plug is just a nissan 4 pin plug that fits the dizzy, but not the origional plug so I have no color coded wires for reference. I am setting up a megasquirt system and wired the included aftermarket wiring harness into the cas/dizzy plug, b...

Ka24de crank differences/2.2 Ka

So picked up a long block a couple weeks ago for Ka-t build. Dropped it off to machine shop to clean it up with the crank. Turns out the crank is bad. I did research and couldn't find a clear answer. Will Altima and xterra crank fit a s13 ka24de? I don't see any reason it wouldn't but wanted to doub...

I'm not sure but from the research i've done on it, i've read the "high flow" pumps are essentially just oem pumps anyways. If you do decide to replace the pump, get the pump from the dealer.. the only other aftermarket pumps ive seen were all topline, and thats just a disaster waiting to ...

UPDATE: apparently the dealership quoted me wrong price, the 107.00 was for sohc (how they figured out sohc motor out of a 93, IDK) but the actual price is 354.00 if you order through their website www.oepartsmegastore.com . I bit the bullet and ordered it this morning.

Yea it sounds like the tune to me. If you're looking into other engine management take a look at Nistune as well, its cheaper than many other options and would be suitable for your power goals.

Ive heard nothing but horror stories about all kinds of topline parts, especially oil pumps. Dealer here wants 480.00 which is rediculous. Ill check out the rebuild kit, but was hoping to not have to do that. Ill look up west covia nissan too.

What oil pumps/lower timing covers do you guys use?

Having a difficult time finding a decent deal on a lower timing cover for a 93 240. All im seeming to find is the infamous topline pumps or oem for s14 for over 300.00 which is rediculous. My old pump still works fine but id like a new pump for a motor build im working on. Was hoping someone could p...

What kind of injectors specifically are they? Too much fuel pressure can cause certain injectors to not spray at all. Certain Bosch Pintle style injectors and certain delphi ball and seeat types. If you are running a boost sensitive FPR then the pressure could be exceeding 75-80PSI under boost. Rem...

Sounds to me like it might be related to the fuel pump. If your fp is around 60 and you're trying to set it back to the stock psi it is just going to lean out more. I'd start with checking if your pump is getting correct voltage and working properly.

Just to see if it is actually flooding or if it might be something else, pull your plugs and bump the motor. If its flooding as bad as you suspect it will throw up fuel out of the cylinders. If it IS hydrolocked, my money would be that your fpr **** the bed. Just my .02
