Re: shift's build-that's wassup
Ok so I finally got an alignment! Woohoo!!! The car rides so much better now. No shaking, swaying, doing weird things during turns or braking. The only thing wrong is that there is a gap in the steering. The alignment guy said my subframe moves and my control arms also move, so he couldn't align the...

Nice!
That black manifold looks good with the color of that rail. I wouldnt worry too much about cxracing stuff for now. Juts do what you are planning, swap the turbo when you get the cash to do so. This is looking good, keep it up!

I've been in the middle of life right now so it's suckin big ones. I have this nursing school stuff that's been taking all my time. And then work, and then I'm doing all this other stuff. I haven't touched the car in a while. But once I get the time all I need to do is adjust the height, align the c...

So I guess I should update my status. I'm a paramedic working at one of the three major hospitals in my area. I work in the ER and they pay me about 19$/hr which is just enough to be comfortable with. I see some crazy stuff, and I see some annoying stuff. Ill be working on a cardiac arrest one minut...

Yep, so true. A NYC apartment of 1700$ a month will be like 700$ a month in Austin. I visited NYC for a week and all I ate was subway because it's always 5$ footlong lol. Prices are crazy

Hey good for you! I saw your post on the funds thread and was like wow! 32/hr as a surgical tech is good money, but then you said you lived in new York and it made sense. People really love the tial wastegates, it makes me even more curious as to what other good options are out there. I went with a precision myself, but I feel like tial, and precision are too mainstream. Either way, its an awesome wastegate! Can't wait to see more

Hey do tyou have a build thread? If not, I'll just move this over to Picture threads and you can post your build up here. You can post pics and questions and thatll help you out a lot. But to answer some stuff: The cast iron log manifold from ebay is less than 100$ and it works very well. It's bette...

I have that same kit.
Just hook stuff up until it works lol.
All your labels are correct. I wouldn't trust that splitter though. It seems to be a weak link. Use a sandwich plate and connect the oil feed line to it.
Check my build thread to see what I did. Other threads have ideas also.

Re: How Much HP Can I Get?
It depend on the type of fuel you will be running. If you have e85 available, get a set of 1600cc or 2000cc injectors with something like a 320 lph fuel pump. If you do 93 or 91 octane, maybe 1000cc will suffice with a 320 lph also. And I don't know how big your rail is, but a beer can -8 would be a...

Its an eBay log mani, not revhard. The turbo looks Chinese/eBay as well or it mightbe a turbonetics exhaust housing on there with an eeBay compressor? Not sure. I do see a turbonetics symbol though.

Thanks daigle, I've been looking into it since you posted. I might just do that once my joints start seizing up. And that traction rod is weird, so I'll have to check out that forum.

Re: airman's 600hp strip/street rocket build thread
They just aren't very good quality. They aren't lined with Teflon, so debris easily penetrates and seizes them. They havent broken yet, but I think it is very possible. The joints are rusted but they still move freely for now.

Make sure to switch out the gsp heim joints with good quality ones. All my joints are rusted, and I don't live in Amy horrible weather area. Just a heads up.
