Re: S14 ka24de in s13 chassis; Not turning off!

Have you had any problems with the ECU? I had a similar issue but mine was caused by a burnt trace in the ecu that also fried a diode. I patched the trace but never fixed the diode and i ended up having the same problem as you. I found a ghetto work around which was removing the EGI Relay in the eng...

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV Boost Leak

I've been having some idling issues so I made a checklist of things to try/change/address. One of those things was to do a vacuum leak test on my vacuum block/tree. Found that my NRG FPR and Greddy RZ BOV leaked pretty bad through the adjustment screw and nipple threads where the jamnut is used to ...

I came across these pics a while ago. I also posted a pic of the crank pin that needs to be removed if your using a D21 flywheel. I wish i could give credit to the people who posted them, but I cant seem to find the threads. Hope this helps. http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a610/LPime001/kadustsh...

I am currently running the exhaust setup below on my 50 trim setup: 2.5" JGS Downpipe > 3" SR20 Downpipe (midpipe) > 3" Resonated test pipe > 3" CXRacing Catback with built in resonator. The tone of the exhaust is awesome. Its a bit loud, but its got a deep sound with no raspines...

Have you pulled any ecu codes.
It may be your CAS failing. This may show up as a code 21.

Just a thought.

Re: Knocklite Testing before Installation

Thank guys for all the help. Just to clarify, all I want to do right now is power up the unit to see if it works before installing it. From reading the manual, it seems like power, ground and rpm signal should initiate a startup sequence. I have not tapped the RPM line yet so this may be my problem....

Re: Knocklite Testing before Installation

Beercan, Your test sounds very interesting, but i think its a bit too technical for me. LOL I tried a ghetto test by back probing the MAF plug and connecting the knocklite to the positive, negative and MAF signal. I was hoping the MAF signal voltage would be close to the RPM voltage, but its probabl...

Knocklite Testing before Installation

Quick question for all you Knocklite users out there. I recently picked up a used turboxs knocklite. Does anyone know if there is a way I can power up the unit to verify that it works? I have all of the installation and programming documents and know exactly how to wire it up, but I cant seem to mak...

Re: What Downpipe fits jgs kit--Isis does not :/

I can't comment on the ISIS downpipe, but I picked up a 3" downpipe off of ebay. The one I bought didn't have a flex section, so I had my buddy weld one on for me. He made sure to keep the geometry of the pipe the same and it ended up fitting great with my JGS mani and downpipe. The bracket tha...

I think it would depend on what that compressor map looks like. That big turbo, producing pressure so low may put you to the left of the surge line.

Do you hear surging while on the throttle at full boost?
If not, your probably ok.

I definitely agree with mmmS13. My t3/t4 with a .63 back housing begins spooling at about 2800. A little bit of lag isn't too bad. You can stay out of boost for daily driving and get great MPGs. If after a while you feel 2800 is too laggy, you can always swap out the back housing to a 0.48ar and sp...
