I have Circuit Sport motor/tranny mounts on my single cam. They really "solidify" the drivetrain. I noticed an immediate improvement in response. You will notice a drastic increase in vibration, or at least I did. I have grown accustomed to the vibration, so I don't mind it any more, but i...

I installed my 3pc Circuit Sport mount set I bought from Enjuku Racing last month over the weekend. Now my car is a vibrator/massage chair. I actually like it. Everything is mounted more "solidly". The response has drastically improved. I am very satisfied. Here are my 24ish year old stock...

I saw that CXRacing sells rods that look identical to these. I would buy the rods. $250 w/ bolts is nice, but what bolts are they? More info from the OP please.

I bought the engine in that condition. The previous owner told me that the 4th injector got stuck open and flooded the engine. I still have to take off the front cover so I can remove the crank. I think the engine is definitely salvageable. So far all of the bearing surfaces don't show any obvious d...

Also, machined parts may be within spec but there is always a small variance between each rod. And by changing sizes, I meant that you may not be able to use the same grade bearings as you should be able to use if you use the factory installed rods. You would have to get new bearings and have the cl...

I don't mean to sound insulting, but it is common sense that swapping parts changes clearances. That is why it is best to have an engine builder "blue print" the bottom end.

I went to an SCCA Auto-X in Hershey, PA on April Fool's Day. I had a but ton of fun. My fastest time was 62sec. I think that is a very good time considering that it was my first race ever, my car is still an automatic, and my tires suck balls. I expected my transmission fluid to suffer and checked i...

You just add the number on the crank and block, that tells you the bearing numbers. The rods work the same way. Opps, I should have mentioned the I am planning on using eagle rods. It is my understanding that changing to aftermarket rods will change the stock clearances. I also should have mentione...

I could "assemble" the block myself, it's not that hard. There are plenty of forum threads and how-to's. But blueprinting requires precision measuring tools that I don't have yet. I also don't know how to calculate for the proper size bearings. Does anybody know how to calculate the proper...

Is there a write up on how to wire one of these up with a DIYMS2? I am considering using this coil on my KA-T. I really want to run COP but the IGN-4 seems simple and easy.

Gonzoe123's 89 S13 - Turd to Badass DD

My name is Ben. I have an un-molested, low mile, 89 240sx hatch. It handles much better then any of my previous cars. It has plenty of torque, compared to my previous cars. And it has the aggression I am looking for. I bought the car with the expectation of doing a motor swap. I want around 225-300 ...

New guy from PA

I am a new member but not new to the site. I have been lurking, reading, and learning for a very long time. I have an 89 240 SOHC w/ 90k on the odometer, no BS :D . I already have a DOHC that I am prepping to be swapped in and turboed.
