Re: Seem Right???

You laugh about mid 12s but guess low-mid 13s.... My times vary more than that in an 1/8th so I would call them both good guesses

Re: Seem Right???

Mathimatically, if i trap 90+ in the first 1/8th, the second eighth should take between 3.6-3.8 seconds if I can climb to 115-120mph.

Re: Seem Right???

Ok but no matter the boost, I have yet to hear of 275whp being possible on stock maf or 370cc injectors. That's my 3rd boost gauge in car and they have all been at same psi. When I go back, I will try to get video. We are planning a 1/4 mile trip this spring (closest 1/4 is over 2 hours away) and we...

Re: Seem Right???

Like I said above, a guy I know ran a 7.7 @ 95mph same day in same lane as this slip so the radar isn't off. That and in the last year, I have been down the track 10-15 times and I have only had one pass under 90mph and it was 10.0 @ 88mph when I almost lost car in 2nd.

Re: Seem Right???

Its T28. On a motor that I said was in its last days right before I boosted it 2 years ago. I shift at 6k-6500 but I run 3rd to 7000ish to keep from shifting at the line. I have had to grab 4th once.

Re: Seem Right???

I know but on the street, I outrun the same people that runs 90mph on track. One of my track passes was against a friends mustang that launches HARD. He ran a 8.9 at 81mph and I ran a 9.2 at 94. He said he look in mirror and said "Holy **** he is closing fast". If I had 20' more, I would h...

Re: Seem Right???

I know it seems high but I've been to the track 3 times and that speed is consistent. My buddies are running mid-high 8s at 85-88mph at same track. I've ran as high at 97mph on a 9.3 pass blowing tires off for 300'ish

Seem Right???

I went to the local 1/8th mile drag strip last weekend and wasn't happy with results. I had MAJOR traction problems and had to baby 1st gear and after shifting to 2nd, I would have to get completely off the gas and then roll back into it then fight wheel when I hit 3rd. Not sure on my power output b...

When you had the car on the lift, did you check for play again now that both front tires where off of the ground at once? :

Do you hear any clanking or clacking when you go over any bumps?
While on the lift, I couldn't find any slack at wheels. Never thought to check rack for play.

Re: Steering Slack / Movement

I would suggest looking at the tie rods (inner and outer), and also checking the rack for leaks. I really think your rack bushings are shot though, and it is causing your rack to physically move. I edited your post to make it readable, I swear it gave me a headache when reading it :P I hope you don...

Steering Slack / Movement

Ok guys/gals, money is TIGHT this close to Christmas so hoping I can get a solid answer. RUNDOWN OF CAR: It's a 96 with appx 200k on chassis. All suspension components are stock except for springs/struts and strut tower bar. Nothing on the car had been changed or altered at all for months prior to i...

Re: iPod/auxiliary connection sans stereo

I guess that's an option. I was thinking about just mounting a radio under seat or something and run aux cable from it. I'm using the stock radio location for gauge pod / switch panel. IHeart radio is all I need! lol Thanks for suggestion

iPod/auxiliary connection sans stereo

I know this sounds completely random and I'm not going in depth on why but, is there any way to hook my iPod or auxiliary cable to my car speakers WITHOUT having a radio? Maybe just some kind of converter box I can mount in the dash with cables ran to the cabin. If it matters, I'm more concerned wit...

JWT / SAFC question

Before I get flamed, I've searched for 2 days with no specific answer. Rundown: I have a 96 stock internal KA-T with a 95 JWT ecu. I bought the kit used 2 years ago and have been running it every since with no major issues and it includes: T28, 370cc, walbro 255, stock maf (not sure which maf ecu is...

I am running a sr elbow and downpipe on my ka but it takes a little modification. The deck height on a ka is a little higher so the downpipe hits the floor board. I had my local muffler shop cut the downpipe on the section headed down and weld in a 1" long piece of pipe to lower the bottom sect...

Yeah I burnt up a walbro in 2 weeks but it was due to pick up sock falling off and starving pump. I'm gonna upgrade to aeromotive 340 when I step up my build. Try the 300zx tt pump. I've heard of people using them. But with 90lph @43psi each, two stock pumps still isn't that strong either. At 10psi ...

I'm not 100% on where the stock pump runs out of fuel either but I'm pretty sure it will not handle 200whp. Fuel isn't the area to cheap out on especially when a walbro is less than $100. I would honestly rather take my chances with the stock 270cc injectors than rely on the stock pump to feed 370s.

I'm confused on how none of the previous comments concerned his idea of running a stock fuel pump.
