Autozone wanted 101.00 after 60 dollar core refund. I said screw that and rebuilt her today in a few hours. My first starter rebuild, used common sense. Wow. I dropped the sticks about 2 years ago when I got serious with the whip. I could not balance both with the kids and wife. I could not play an hour of COD only. 500hpKA240sx, thats what i was thinking too, maybe some water got in there somewhere... the hood was open; i sprayed the hood liner. I forgot to mention i did turn the motor manually and ran into no interference issues. Well tried tapping the SOB and nothing. I pulled the starter out...time to test ...

I've tried tapping it with the very small space I had for the swing. I'll try from underneath the car tomorrow morning. Send the luck of Thor to me so I can get this thing tapped into service if that does happen to be the issue.

Hmm, this will be next on my super sexy ka24e to do list. Looks much cleaner without all that EGR mess cluttering the engine bay. Extending the harness wires and tucking it under the intake sounds like a task too. Kind of scares me to think about trying.
