Re: Project KA24E(T)!!! Update 7/14

KA24ETZTM, I was recently putting together a carbon fiber panel like you have and had the labeling ribbon you used as thats what came with labeler. Went out and picked up the clear label with white text. IMO, it looks far better(see image below). Figure I share that since you obviously care as you s...

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV Boost Leak

Anybody running recirculated find the BOV no longer holds boost like it did when it was VTA? I believe this is what is now happening. Will hit 10psi for a blink then down to 7psi. No changes made to EBC or system for that matter. No new boost leaks besides a throttle body shaft leak that was present...

Re: Question on white bunny clutch flywheels

I've been using mine. Still yet to fully evaluate the use of the truck clutch kit. As stated above I did have to get the center bored a little. Also noticed the stepped dowel pins included with the Fidanza FW did not allow the clutch PP to sit flush with the FW. http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc...

do you even smell your clutch after you think its slipping? I thought my clutch was slipping when I initially put my white bunny setup in, but my tires were just breaking loose and not making noise. Re: Question on white bunny clutch flywheels

I'm not sure you ever got to confirming this but I should be wrapping up my clutch swap tomorrow. I was running the stock KA clutch as I was lazy to change but slipping was getting getting too bad. Pulled clutch and looks new still. Just not up to the task obviously. I think the problem you may have...

Do the beercan rails fit SOHC? I didn't think it did so I wound up with another company's SOHC fuel rail.

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV Boost Leak

I've been having some idling issues so I made a checklist of things to try/change/address. One of those things was to do a vacuum leak test on my vacuum block/tree. Found that my NRG FPR and Greddy RZ BOV leaked pretty bad through the adjustment screw and nipple threads where the jamnut is used to a...

Thanks. Yeah, I can do that but my thought was guys here might be more interested in the motor setup. Wondering if anyone see it a good idea to insulate the intercooler and piping to minimize heatsoak from being so close to radiator and motor. My main concern with that is whether or not I would be l...

Had a couple weeks off from work so managed to get the car running. I must say, the KA24 is a fun, potent motor on the boost. And so far no real complaints on JWT's tune. Re: Datsun 510 Wagon KA24 Going T

Started the car New Years eve since the turbo conversion. Doesn't idle. Had me going until I realized my catch can PCV probably shouldn't be ran after the MAF and, more importantly, the IAC and AAC should pull vacuum from after the MAF. I'm looking to try and reroute them this weekend. So, with that...

1/2 BSP is too large. I will post a pic of the fitting I pulled from PCV and the 1/2 BSP fitting.

Maybe 3/8" BSP?

I thought the same about bspt thread like the oil pressure switch.

Its a little larger than 8mm though. Ita even larger than 10 I believe, however, its not a tight/fine thread either.

PCV System: Fitting Size On Block Side

On the block side of the PCV valve line there is a threaded fitting. I can't say if my fitting is stock as it appears to have a make-shift gasket washer. However, the box that its screwed into that hangs off the block is threaded. It's slightly larger than 1/4npt, and smaller than 3/8npt. Anyone hav...

Besides the obvious top diameter differences, are there any other dIimensional differences like total height? I was having that issue when I first started. Change your rotary dials to that of a Z32 and it will work out. Just to make you think, if the EMB settings call for rotary dials for a distinctive MAF, then you need to match the rotary dials to that of the VQ map which is Z32 since you are running an ...

Pretty much done with the A2W I/C system besides wiring and adding Prosport Dual Intercooler Temp Gauge to keep an eye on I/C efficiency. Very nice build. Like the idea of the car audio distribution block to accomodate the 12V+ needs up front. The way things are now on my car I dont like it using the alt as a main lug. Just lots of little wires stemming off it. I pondered using a distribution block as well and now seeing yours thats w...

Actually the base of the filter is lined up with the bottom of the radiator. So no, filter not right in line of radiater. I'll be needing to brace the filter as well as create a shield.
