Re: Air Suspension/Bags

Airlift performance with v2 digital management. Fully adjustable air struts, and someone I know runs them on basically all of his cars, including cars he drifts. He also happens to be a retailer for Airlift Performance. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7392/10468939785_48d559bda7.jpg https://farm8.sta...

Re: Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

Gotcha. Essentially I want something pulling the PCV vapors out.

Would that be the reason it's smoking like crazy? Because of the way I have it all hooked up right now?

Re: Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

Okay so the way I have it now, is PCV drilled out and attached to a catch can with a breather filter, as well as the valve cover attached to that same catch can. I'm not exactly sure if I'm fully understanding what you're saying, but you're saying I need fresh air coming through that system at some ...

Re: Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

Well I suck at build threads. Anyway, got the car running today. A few issues.... -Smokes like crazy.. (bad gas?? 8mo. old), open downpipe doesn't help with directing the smoke, so it just filled my garage lol. -Idle AFR is ~14.7, which from my understanding is good. However, when I give it a little...

Re: Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

PO did not change the oil regularly. Run some Rotella 15w-40 with seafoam and marvel mystery oil for 200 miles. Then change oil and overtime with Rotella, it will clean up. Make sure you let your car warm up well using Rotella though. I'd recommend using full synthetic 0w30 for a basic build, but p...

Re: Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

So I pulled my valve cover off this morning, and discovered some weird crap inside the head. Idk if this is normal, or if it's something I should be concerned about... Regardless, I feel like I should ask. It's the areas in between cyl1/2 and cyl3/4. In the pictures it's where the wrench is pointing...

Re: Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

Hey man, just trying to help you out. No need to get defensive. I have pics about how I plugged up my PCV ports on my intake manifold on my build page. If you want to run it to a breather of some sort it will be best to run it using a pump that can keep a vacuum on it. That way you can run both the...

Re: Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

Like I said, I know most thing I need to know already. I didn't plan on completely removing the PCV, I was thinking more along the lines of rerouting it to a breather tank or oil catch can. The valve itself would remain on the motor, I would just delete the lines that connect to the intake manifold....

Re: Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

First of all, Welcome to the forums. You should be able to keep all of the emissions stuff with your setup and make it work. It will complicate things a bit, but it can be done. Since you're OBD II there is a possibility that you might be able to pass emissions if you run a high flow cat instead of...

Street Dancer S14 KA-T Build

Hey guys, after like 2 years of looking into doing this KA-T thing I've finally accumulated all my parts and started to install some stuff. Here's the car it's going on: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5499/10919822284_ebcd7322ce_z.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5510/11973031754_5abd1d8dc3_z.jpg ...

Re: What gas mileage are you guys getting compared to NA?

Why is it that these gas mileages on t25 set ups are the same as my NA KA...

I was also curious as to what gas mileage everyone was getting, I'm in the process of installing my T25 stuff.

Yea, the tee would just be a temporary solution until I get a whole oil filter relocation set up. I can see why it would break, the senders are pretty big and heavy for what they are.

I'm thinking the best option is to get the Subaru adapter someone linked about on eBay, and then drilling out and tapping another hole. Then using a tee fitting for the two sensors for the time being until I can afford to relocate my filter and get a cooler and all that stuff. Anyone on here using a...

I have been using one of these: http://store.42draftdesigns.com/VW-Oil-Pressure-Relocation-Kit_p_314.html That looks like another option, but the threads are 1/8NPT, and the block and stock sender on the KA is 1/8BSPT... And I don't want to mix and match the two because I really don't feel like dea...

Yea I'd like to keep the stock one, partially because I don't want to have to deal with an annoying light, and I don't want to remove the bulb because I'm too lazy to take the cluster out. Well I shot Nissport an e-mail... hopefully they get back to me soon. As for that Subaru thing you posted a lin...

Oil feed line And temp/press. sensor mounting options

Ok so, I'm finishing up piecing my turbo kit, and one of the last things I need is the adapter to be able to hook up a feed line and my oil press/temp sensors. I was going to order the Nissport adapter that goes where the stock pressure sending unit is, but that is out of stock right now... I'm gonn...

Instead of a knock light, would an SAFC2 used as a knock sensor display be sufficient? IT has the knock function, so I was planning on using that to monitor it. Probably. They both use the stock sensor. I would advise to get that SAFC out of your technology because it is unnecessary and could be be...

Performance wise, definitely coilovers. Made the car much more enjoyable to drive. Up next is the welded diff. Sure people complain, but it made my car so much more fun for me. Overall, everything I've done to the exterior, and cosmetically is probably my favorite thing. I loved changing my car from...

Looks good, and I definitely agree you need to lower that a little bit. haha. As for 235/40 tires, try Federals maybe. I used to run those until I actually downsized to 225/45.

From the searching I've done, no experience yet, I'll be installing my turbo kit next month, a ROM tune like JWT or Enthalpy will be great and it's plug and play. The timing is changed in the ECU, and it's tuned for your setup. As others said, an SAFC isn't a bad idea to "fine tune" in ord...

Another thing I could think of, is using two nuts for the outer nut to act as a locking nut on top of the one closer to the flange. Same concept as collars on coilovers.

Try the Loctite as suggested, is it the turbo to manifold backing off, or the turbo to downpipe? I use studs on both sides and use locking exhaust-nuts that don't back off like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-X-STAINLESS-STEEL-STUDS-COOPER-NUTS-KIT-M10X15-TURBO-EXHAUST-DUMP-/120889445944?pt=AU_Car...

Where were you able to order that Skullworks oil block from? I want to eventually get one, but the thing on Zilvia ended a while back.
