I just got back from a drift event on the S14 KA24DE that I rebuilt and after one afternoon (about 6-8 runs) I have a knock now. I don't get it. People say the KA's are rock solid engines and yet my SOHC died from a knock, and now my DE has a knock that got worse over the drive home. What gives man??

The auto speed sensor has a shorter gear and it's pink vs red. They look identical plugged into the transmission. How do I tell it apart from an auto speed sensor so I don't get tricked? I know the S13 is made of aluminum and the S14 is made of plastic, but I don't know how to separate the auto from the manual.
