Looks like a good start. What are your plans for it?

Re: Autometer gauges, oil feed, egr blockoff and MS question
That's good to hear about the autometer gauges. Its basically autometer on the cheap end then DEFI/AEM on the damn that's expensive side. I would have liked to use Speedhut gauges, but even they seem overpriced for what they are. As for the feed line, I'll probably be measuring that this weekend and...

Autometer gauges, oil feed, egr blockoff and MS question
So I'm almost finished gathering parts to do the KA-T swap but I have a few more questions. First off, I'm planning on using an autometer boost and oil pressure gauge. I'll be mounting them to the A pillar, in a dual gauge pod. But I'm wondering if you guys have any opinions on them. I've read many ...

Re: megasquirt 2 assembly help
Did you get it to work? I'm really looking at doing this, still waiting for funding though
Re: Ka-t kit
You can easily piece together a kit for cheaper. Right now I'm at $650 and all I'm missing is a tuneable ecu or aftermarket ecu. I have: Full CX racing intercooler kit (intercooler, piping, and **** bov) Isis V2 manifold SR20 stock turbo (will rebuild using a bigger compressor) SR injectors Elbow an...

Re: KA-t purchasing help
"Works perfect....Needs to be tuned"
That doesn't make sense. And normally an s14 with that many goodies, forget the KA-T sells for a little more (at least here in FL). There has to be something wrong with it

Wait for a deal to pop up. I'm sure you'll find a complete motor, you just need to be patient.
Re: 240's
Craigslist all day every day. I spent about 6 months looking for a straight body, low mileage (for the age) 240sx. I paid $1700 for my 93, completely stock with 100k miles. It needed brakes and shocks/springs which were a cakewalk for me. I drove it pretty much like that for a year and a half. Just ...

So after doing a lot fo reading, talking to memebers and talking to the guys at diyautoune, A minimal setup similar to flatblacks can be had for about $400. That includes the unmade MSII kit, 8ft harness, tuning cable and laptop adapter, IAT sensor and bung, and the trigger wheel for KA engines to p...

I have used RC engineering to clean 2 sets of my injectors for my datsun. They charge $25 an injector though which is kinda cheap. I have also heard of witchhunter being pretty good too

Well I figure it will be fun building a megasquirt system. I'm studying to be an electrical engineer so what the hell. This will allow me to mess with timing as well as fuel and spark. and for like $400 it's totally worth it. Now that doesn't include the relay board or stim kit or an innovative LC-1...

Well I know you guys are steering me in the right direction, and I've been on forums long enough to know that the people who only hear what they want to hear end up with blown engines. So I figure I could sell the SAFCII and put that money towards a megasquirt kit, which I believe to be the most rea...

Found this, so I guess stay away from an emanage http://www.driftstl.com/forums/showthread.php?21038-Emanage-Blue-or-SAFC http://forums.nicoclub.com/emanage-blue-for-ka-t-t207473.html I have considered megasquirt, as I'm a little familiar with it from hybridz, but have never really tuned one (helped...

safcII I have googled and read writeups on, I get the general idea of how it works and how to tune it by setting hi/lo throttle and rpm points. Emanage I never even considered, just a thought that popped up since my friend is selling his. Again all I do know about it is that its also a piggy back, b...

Thinking about a KA-T...duh
I've been thinking more and more about doing a KA-T setup since I've been gathering parts for it pretty much by accident. I ended up trading a greedy profec for an apexi SAFCII, and I bought a new cx racing intercooler kit that's for an s13 (I need the intercooler for my 280zx) along with a Isis V2 ...

New guy in Daytona Beach
Hey guys, I'm a college student (last year of engineering coming up) in daytona beach. I own an 80 280zx, which is really my track/canyon car (canyon when I was in Socal), and a 93 240sx that I DD. Got the pos for $1900 and it needed all new brakes (calipers, pads and rotors) and suspension (I used ...
