Re: frontier goes into limp mode at 4k
And finally check for boost leaks... 13.5 is way too lean in boost. That FMU should be richening it up to about 11-10AFR's @7psi. Rich but safer then 13...

Re: frontier goes into limp mode at 4k
Get a obd2 scaner and see if the MAF is tripping a code. The MAF setting for a Z32 MAF is 2 in.. Frontiers run a 5 out. Voltage from the Z32 should be 0.45volts or so.. The AFC should double the voltage back to the ECU with a 2in 5out.. 0.80 volts or so. Thats how it is for mine. Then tune it back t...

Re: frontier goes into limp mode at 4k
Ok, most here will tell you to get injectors and a real tuning solution.... However, do you know for sure its in limp mode? Frontiers have many limp modes, one for bad MAF signal (around 3500RPM), and knock detection (timing), then closed to open loop issues with the (O2 sensor). Your problem seems ...

Re: Fuel rail and intake manifold dimensions
For most 14mm injectors to fit SOHC stock fuel rail they will need to be machined down to 11mm. Or get one of those 14mm Beercan fuel rails! The 14mm injectors, depending on pintle type may or may not fit the stock intake manifold, but there are a lot that can and just use the OEM injector insulator...

All S13 SR/KA catback exhausts are made to bolt to the OEM location cat converter/testpipe. As long as your turbo set up, top mount or bottom mount, bolts fine to the factory cat/testpipe location? Any brand SR/KA catback is good to go!

Re: Non turbo'd but removed egr....butterfly valve question
I pretty sure the butterfly/ Swirl control valves are always open until they get vac... Just leave the vac hose unplugged. Nothing bad will happen either way. Most say you will loose low end... But the "butt" Dyno didnt feel any loss. You could even unplug the harness connector on the SCV,...

Ok so, you rebuilt the motor, it drove / boosted fine for a day, turned car off, then the next start it cranked only? When it is sputtering and trying to idle? Whats the AFR's? Lean or rich? Does the ECU red light switch off? Does it flash any codes? Did you look inside the ECU to see if the chip wa...

Are you running a oil inlet restrictor? What weight oil do you run? -10 for a drain is good. Other then the pan, some Honda friends drill and tap the bottom of the block. Is the return a straight shot down from the turbo? What brand of rebuild kit did you use? Most guys rebuild using Genuine Garret ...

SOHC engine, DOHC ECU questions?
Alright, for those people running Jim Wolfs DOHC ECU / Distributor re-clock, for the SOHC engine program, or know someone who has, or, anyone running a DOHC ECU with a SOHC engine, question for you. Did you have to swap over to a DOHC tach? As we all know, the two engines/ECU's use different tach's ...

Re: ka-t wont run
If the MAF power wire and signal wire on the harness is not giving the 12v power or 0-5volts signal, then open up your ECU and look for burnt traces, or any burnt pins... Lot of the times the MAF can handle the short circuit and it sure soundls like it will be fine, but the ECU might be fried now..

New? Z32 maf? As in $$$ from Nissan oem? Or a aftermarket new MAF? Some aftermarket MAF's are funky. But yeah, once in a while its the tune... On some cars, and ECU's, tunes are just finicky. Are you able to get the car to the tuner? And dyno tune it? Most tuners have seen it all when it comes to pr...
