Re: nismotronic ka24de cop help
Just giving an update. The cop wizard feature does not work with a s13 ka24de stock distributor and sr20det ecu. I got the sr20det ecu to run my ka24de engine using the sr20det cas disc. It's a great cheap way to get ka24de to run coil packs. All you need is a programmable or chipped sr20det ecu Th...

I'm running .040" over, wiseco pistons to be exact and I'm using the stock Fel-pro gasket which does measure a hair over .040" so it's perfect!

Re: Hello from the gun shine state
Thanks for the info BrokeKAT. I will probably save up for the nismotronic strip as well. I want to make it very nice and reliable. After I build it I'm going to sell it because I have an ls1 that's ready to go in but I need to go through my turbo phase Yeah I just recently bought the Nismotronic an...

Re: Oil pressure getting inaccurate read from sandwich plate
Yeah for real, I mean it all comes down to money I guess? I just had a T-fitting laying around and was like F it, its a good source and fits everything, and instead of spending money and ordering a sandwich plate and having to wait I wanted to get it done, and it worked out perfect in my favor!
Re: Worth it?
haha youll like the n/a power of the 1UZ I know a couple people with it and its nice but you should boostt haha!

After checking the Turbo check the wastegate/boost controller stuff or even Bov I mean I kinda doubt its any of those but they are ideas to look at.

Re: ARP head stud questions
Definitely go with what the instructions in the box say, but when I did mine it was a 2-step process like some others 30 ft lbs then a 60-65 ft lbs, then rechecking the torque after the engine has gotten to operating temps after installing, and also rechecking them after 500 miles.

Re: Turbo Placement Opinions...
I prefer a Top-mount which is what I have but if I could have something a little farther away from the BMC that would be awesome but I don't want a forward mount at the same time something in between would be perfect, only because my opinion is that a Forward mount is for more turbulence and generat...

There's a red clip that hold the two spring arms under the deck lid in the truck to keep them from hitting each their causing a rattle... This red clip usually just slides down. Meh Gusta! Definitely a must not many companies to this day make baffles in the catch cans even, I took forever getting a catch-can only because I definitely only wanted something with a baffle inside.

Re: pics....am i screwed? :/ im so pissed
Wow linked from an AOL online account... theyre still around? Take it to a pressure washer, spray everything off, then lay under the car after it dries and you should be able to see where its leaking from, its not that hard. Definitely do that but if you can try to dry it with a air hose to speed d...

Re: Injector size
I'm not running a similar set-up, but my buddy did. I can't remember what brand exactly but yeah your looking for about 800cc to the minimum for that HP goal, I mean don't get it wrong you could probably get away with 720-740cc's but you would be closer to maxing the duty cycles on the injectors thu...

Re: Oil pressure getting inaccurate read from sandwich plate
I use a Sandwich plate on my Accord with no problems for over a year and it was feeding my t3/t4 Turbonetics with no problems, and on my Ka I'm using a T-fitting right where the oil sensor goes near next to the oil filter and I have oil Feed Line, Oil pressure Gauge, and the Oil sensor on that and e...
Re: Ka-t kit
Honestly yeah look for locals, and craigslist aim for used cheaper parts at least they still have quality in them, but definitely piece together your own kit brother so much more worth it! go to CXRacing.com or Speedyracer.com I think it is for a intercooler kit which come pre-fabbed for your car fo...

Re: Hello from the gun shine state
Oh and back tracking to tune, are you going to want to stay with the MAF? I would personally lean on Enthalpy if thats your only 2 choices because a SAFC is good and all but its still a piggy back which I don't like/trust unless your doing a turbo build on a budget. I personally am going to be runni...

Re: Hello from the gun shine state
Honestly, with stock internals you can daily on 225hp from what I've seen and done on the KA. Now if you rebuild with OEM parts then I dont see why you can't get closer to the 300 mark, I only say this because the internals are forged and can handle some power respectfully. On the other hand if your...
