Re: What is stock ka24e ignition curve?
Hey tchida, adamky put a map up on my other post in ecu tuning. It should be a good starting point for us. I'm going to put it in to my system and see how it likes it. May drop a few degrees to start with.

No that's great. Not doubting you guys, I was just a little surprised at the the amount and quick increase of advance at low rpm.
Excellent info. Many thanks. I'm sure this will help.

What is stock ka24e ignition curve?
Hi all, as the title says, I want to know what the stock ka24e ignition curve is? Does anyone have a reference for this or have mapped it prior to going turbo? I have searched the Web many times looking for reference maps or information buy no luck. I am mapping my own ignition curve for lpg but wou...

Re: Looking for Help KA24e Going ka24et
Hi mate. Not sure if you have read the turbo stickies yet but if not please do. These answer many questions you may have. And basically give you a recipe per hp goal. For your horsepower goals a freshly built engine with quality std. parts is adequate. Many people opt for forged internals to allow f...

I would say yours is a blow through setup.
My old setup on my Mazda was: filter, maf, turbo, bov, intercooler, engine.

Re: Supercharged Hybrid Z24/Ka24e Build in D21
Thanks Adamky. I think I will add an extra resonator as you suggested. The hotdog style glasspack resonator I have at the moment is probably only 12" long. Adding a second unit that's maybe 18-20" should make for a better sound. Despite the exhaust noise, there is no hiding the supercharge...

Re: Rpm greatest Issue
Hi, The problem sounds like you may be getting inconsistent ignition load reference. I had a draw though maf on a turbo set-up go bad on me (mazda 626) and it caused massive hunting and erratic idle and acceleration. Is Maf blow through or drawthrough? What type of maf? Have you tested it to make su...

Thanks for the reply guys. After your comments and some more conversions i have realised i was looking at the 70kpa backward. 70 of 100kpa being 30kpa absolute rather than gauge. Thanks. Now to adjust my map.

Novice Ignition MAP kPa question
Hi, I have a newbie ignition map question. I have been playing with the map for my D21 Ka24e (standalone high energy ignition kit) with poor results (all road tested). I've been looking at images of maps of this forum as well as on the net in general for reference and to get my head around my issues...

Glowshift seems to be a brand that really divides people. Its a love or hate thing perhaps based on peoples experience? Good to hear you have had a good run with their products. Always good to have a go to for the budget build. I can't make up my mind if i just go for a boost gauge and matching tach...

Re: KA-t Setup Questions
Many Nissan turbo use a composite compressor wheel which are known to fail if pushed being factory pressures.
Turbo is small but can be usable and even better if you swap a comp wheel from another Nissan turbo.
I had a mix n match Nissan turbo on a 2.2l 4cyl and it went decent.

Hi mate, maybe re-read the noob thread again. The answers for your questions are in there. If you require anything more specific try searching. Loads of info on this site. The general size of your turbo should be adequate. 19t is ample for 200hp. Maybe try and find a compressor map for it and see if...

Thanks Supakat. Tru boost looks good. Not much help for a supercharged engine but I'll consider it if I swap this engine to turbo.

Tune is finally drivable on boost. Still has some issues. Rich on cruise and boost but lean from 2nd or 3rd gear roll on. Only making 5PSI at the moment, well at least that's what my stuffed boost gauge says. LOL The Vortech mondo works awesome. Its very responsive and that's just on its factory set...

Had a look at the speedhut gear, looks good and lots of options. Also plenty of kmh gauges which is nice if i decide to go a full set.
They seem to be comparable to vdo prices as well.

Re: What Boost gauge do you use and why?
Im sure autometer make some good products but my gauge is not one of them LOL.
I've seen videos and read some info that argue electronic gauges are not as quick or accurate as mechanical gauges. That said peak hold features that the stepper motor gauges can provide are pretty handy.

What Boost gauge do you use and why?
Hey looking to replace my autometer super light 2" boost/vac gauge (20psi) as it sucks. Not sure if its typical of the brand or type but it sticks and has a lumpy movement. I was looking at maybe the turbosmart, innovate G3 boost or a good old VDO 25PSI boost vac. Any comments or recommendation...

Also looking at new suspension bush kit and engine mounts.
Any recommendations on either?

Cool, this should be good.
Not that I don't like a good rotary, but always thought an I4 in an RX7 would be cool.
Like a cooler version of an mx5 lol.
I've seen a few other people talking about this swap or doing it.
Mostly people trashing mixed make swaps.
Good luck, should be fun.
