Drifting High Compression Turbo KA24DE

So I blew my 2nd setup of ring lands on my KA-T setup, which had factory cast pistons and rods. I will be upgrading to forged rods and pistons and will keep factory bore, I'm on a itch to go high compression as in 10.5:1 forged pistons vs a lower compression ratio so I can spool my turbo a bit quick...

Nissan HotWire Maf with IAT sensor purpose

Since a hotwire maf can get the density of incoming air charge through the hot wire changing resistance due to air cool effect what is the purpose of the IAT? I understand the IAT is not needed to run a car, for example a sohc ka24e maf on a sr20det; you would just use the maf and not the extra IAT ...

Re: blown hg?

go do a leak down, also try dropping a cap full of oil into each bore and reread the pressure, if it goes up it is probably ring lands or rings.
Don't forget the head as a probable cause as well

Re: Ka24det headgasket options

Felpro does make mls head gaskets, PermaTorque is their model name for the MLS gaskets; they are both in-house to parent company Federal Mogul, which is a domestic machining company for automotive parts. Graphite HG are made from graphite sheets (hence where the paper nomenclature was born) and then...

Re: Ka24det headgasket options

neverlift said MLS which is multi layer steel, I understand that felpro does have mls gaskets too, but I'm speaking strictly of the paper type HG. btw I have a feeling you guys don't understand what paper head gasket typically mean; the paper is not like writing paper, it is a sheet of graphite (hen...

Re: Ka24det headgasket options

The one I have is the $40 felpro from advancedauto; it's not a multilayer gasket (hence not mls). I believe it's a paper/organic composite type.

Ka24det headgasket options

I currently have a ka24det with a felpro headgasket on a sr20det t25 running 10psi of boost; decently quick. I'm about to build another ka24det and was wondering how much boost/power is the felpro paper type headgasket good for (apparently I heard 400). I know people always bash on felpros and I was...

Power Steering Joint Outlet

My power steering on my ka24de isn't working because i'm missing the joint outlet on the pump, so what I did was get another banjo bolt and bolted the high pressure line straight into the power steering pump bypassing the joint outlet, it doesn't work.. So I was wondering if the joint outlet was a n...

Re: My '95 zenki build thread!

if it's the 4 bolt exhaust side bolt pattern with 2 bolts on one side and the other 2 a bit wider it's technically the t22 from the 300zx tt, ceramic wheel is jdm spec and steel wheel is usdm. I had one for my drift 318is. It could also be a rb turbo, since they did use pretty much a t25/t28 with a ...

November 13 2013 (today) Added the oil drain line tapped into the sump, and had to weld a custom oil feed line to the turbocharger; I couldn't get the t25 metric fitting to convert to an AN fitting so just welded the factory t25 oil feed line to the one I was going to use. http://i232.photobucket.c...
