I seriously didn't dig it out for 2 months... this was from last year. and a couple regular shots for the hell of it: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c195/Kinematics/93co...

I have a variable speed Dremel tool, and the bits I used are the Dremel brand as well. Anyways, once it's back together I will do a baseline to see what the work changed.

I no longer have the kouki, this is for the coupe in my signature.

I just cleaned up the intake side, removed casting lines and other obvious defects. I didn't want to modify or enlarge the actual shape or path of the airflow on the intake side to ensure my low end torque was retained. I used a Dremel tool with a lot of 60 grit sandpaper wheels for the intake side....

I am no expert by any means, but here is some of the work I have done to my engine recently during my spare time. Any tips or advice on what I've done so far is welcome. Nice numbers. Miami240, Ivan is just getting warmed up. 8) Also, KA24DE turbo tuning has a fraction of the support and research that is available for Honda motors and on the 4G63. The Mitsubishi motor has had what, 16+ years of tuning knowledge and research applied to it? The KA is a new motor to th...

No problem. 8) All you need are the new intake manifold gaskets which are 8 bucks from the parts store. There are EGR blockoff plates on Ebay you can buy, also. I still have the EGR on my S13 (not hooked up any longer), but still bolted in place to keep that hole in the intake manifold from leaking.

Might as well remove it all. It's not a lot of work to finish up that spare manifold, then swap it out with the one on your daily driver.

Go ahead and remove the charcoal cannister, everything.

I left the sensors unplugged on my old s13 (the car I did all this to) and it didn't care. While you have the intake manifold off, take out the butterflies also.

The one on the bottom of the picture (on the actuator) is for the S.C.V, or your butterflies. Go ahead and remove that whole thing, you don't need it. You should only have a vacuum line going from your FPR to the little vacuum port on the back of the lower intake manifold, next to where the brake bo...

There are better things to spend your money on for your n/a while you build up for turbo. SAFCs are good, but not really by themselves. It's easy for me to take my time and buy deals when I see them, instead of making a list and just going down the line. Speaking of, I got a T3 if you want it.

My 97 has an 89 tranny and it's throwing some codes for the crank angle sensor and probably some other things, but I haven't bothered to read them. The car runs fine, but no backup lights and it idles weird for about 10 seconds on cold startups.

It is too much fuel, which is why it shoots fireballs. Most well tuned setups I've seen still shoot a fireball every now and then. Turbo cars: tuned = on the rich side. It's safer.

I had Rota Subzeros on my old s13. They had a +35 offset with a 5mm spacer but still wouldn't clear Z brakes.

You'll have a hard time finding some with a RWD offset. Most are 40 offset.

I have a similar situation going on with my car. It's a 97, originally an auto and is now a manual with an 89 transmission. I'm throwing a few codes, though I don't remember what they were. The crank angle sensor being one of them. My only suggestion is to convert your car to OBD1, get a 5speed tran...
