Re: DIY autotune
I've got DIYPNP MS2 on my S14. Running COP. Works like a charm but wasn't super easy to make it work. Previous tuning experience and trouble shooting know how is definitely a must to make it run good. My friend assembled it for me, he is an electrical engineer. I've tuned a lot of cars prior to this...

Re: Timing Dropping into Single Digits/Zero 0*
People swear by RS tunes but I'm always skeptical due to weak numbers they put out. This could be part of a reason. As far as I'm aware you need the guy for RS to fine tune your stuff or to figure out why timing is dropping. He might of messed up with parameters. Megasquirt user, and I couldn't be h...

Re: 11.5 @ 120
I'm at about 78% duty cycle at 18.5 psi at 7000rpm on that pass. Boost spikes to 20 then levels out at around 18psi. So I guess I can turn it slightly up next time.

Re: 11.5 @ 120
No launch control yet. Need to solder in a wire into megasquirt to link it my clutch pedal switch. I've never ran 10s before, so I acquired a wet nitrous kit from a buddy that I will spray into turbo next year. 25 shot should get me like 40-50hp and cooler IAT. Gonna see next year because weather he...

Re: 11.5 @ 120
I’ve looked at the logs and it was around 19psi. I can maybe raise the boost 1 more pound before I trigger boost cut. My megasquirt MAP sensor is only good to like 23psi. Considering spraying 25 shot and borrowing my friends drag radials. Also I’m making new intake manifold whenever I get some free ...

Re: DIYPNP Megasquirt COP misfire
Yep that fixed it along with NGK plug wires. I'm sure I could of got it to run on cheap wires but I said **** it and changed all of it. Firing order was wrong, plug wires were crap, and I had to turn on Noise Filtering ON for crank pickup and "tach period rejection" OFF to be able to rev h...

Re: DIYPNP Megasquirt COP misfire
****! I figured megasquirt knows what firing order vehicle is once you select "engine type". Megasquirt just fires ABCDABCDABCDABCD?

Re: DIYPNP Megasquirt COP misfire
I'm not sure how to set firing order in TunerStudio. I've looked but can't find it. I've made sure that my coils fire individually as I call them up A-1, B-2, C-3, D-4 so I know that they are hooked up right. I've locked my ignition timing at 10 degrees and synced it with crank pulley. it starts rig...

DIYPNP Megasquirt COP misfire
I have 95 240SX KA24DE. Turbo, 1000cc ID, LS truck coils running coil on plug configuration using basic logic configuration output(not waste spark), MS trigger wheel, MS DIYPNP. I can get all the coils to fire individually, and injectors are working and seem to have a decent spray pattern. I've chec...

Re: KA24DE 6 Speed VQ
I mean no disrespect but I believe you are a bit off on your calculations. Measuring from the edge of the splines on the disk to the block is about 2 3/8”. Measuring the same distance from the mating surface of the trans inward it puts the input shaft about 3/4 of an inch into the disk which is mor...

Re: KA24DE 6 Speed VQ
I've originally thought about going that way, but after doing some measuring and calculations it's a sure way to rip your input shaft splines. They will only engage about 10-12mm after you machine your bellhousing. Total engagement of the clutch disk splines is 25mm. That's why I went with this kit.

KA24DE 6 Speed VQ
I came across two CD009 transmissions for stupid cheap, wasn't even intending to go 6 speed just needed a trans that wasn't about to explode. For those that don't know CD009 comes in 2007 and up 350Z, 370Z, G35, G37. It's supposed to be bullet proof and size comparison it's bigger then T56. First I'...

Racing non resister plug
Anybody ever use BKR7R or BKR8R plugs in your car? I've used to run them in some turbo hondas with some good results. I was able to open the gap up a little more then usual and not get misfires at higher boost. Some people reported back as much as 30hp gains with stock honda ingnitions on 500hp cars...
