Re: Z32 Turbo on KA?
I'm doing the same on the side with my 240 once i can pull my engine and re seal/overhaul my engine. i also got my hands on just one z32 t22 turbo that i found out is a refurbished JWT Sport 500 turbo, i was going to sell it and get a stock SR turbo but once i found that out i decided to keep it. i...

Re: Ka-t dies on decel
I've experienced an issue like this before. how close to the turbo is your MAF? If it's too close your maf will experience turbulent airflow causing the readings to the ECU to be innacurate.

**NEED HELP** jumper harness (S14>S13ecu)
Hey All, Thanks for taking the time to view my thread. I need a little help with some wiring for the jumper harness I am creating to run a S13 ka24de ecu in my 95' s14. I will be using Nismotronics and didn't want to fork out the $250+ for an already wired harness. I'm 90% complete with my harness, ...

UPDATE
Everything is working perfectly as should with the "new" tranny I installed! Old one was a POS and had synchros all locked up. Too bad I don't remember who I purchased it from here on the forums, would definitely put him on blast as he told me "everything works perfect bro" Video...

Re: Cute240sxGuy's KA24DET Build - 91/E85
Had some time today to remove the s13 tranny that's giving me problems! Picked another one up last night in super excellent condition with all sensors, clutch fork, TOB, shifte, AND crossmember/mount. Decided since the tranny was already out I would drill the hole for the S14 crank angle sensor into...

Re: RB25 ACT Clutch not disengaging
Received my new exedy clutch master and slave today and everything works fantastic. Clutch feels awesome and the system bled perfectly. Added some redline MT-90 GL-4 tranny gear oil as well. Now to figure out why it's going 40mph in neutral lol.

Re: New build - Rod Knock?
You've got some wiring backwards or something. Not sure on that one. Yeah I'm not sure either. I didn't really wire anything with the lower harness (used auto lower harness), basically just undid the factory tap/shielding and made it a lot neater and cleaned up the wires I didn't need. I guess my n...

Re: RB25 ACT Clutch not disengaging
What's odd is that in neutral the driveshaft still spins the rear wheels, and not the way where you could stop with your hands. I'm starting to think this tranny is shot, as the synchros may be locking into other things causing it to "be in gear" This happened to me a wile back and I abou...

Re: New build - Rod Knock?
judging by the sound def not rod knock, sounds alot like a sohc with collapsed rockers , i say it sounds valve train related Thank you both for the reassurance. Seem's that the sound almost completely goes away once the engine is fully warmed, now when I rev the engine I mainly hear what sounds to ...

Re: New build - Rod Knock?
Are you fairly certain that the thermostat didn't slip down during reassembly and get between the housing and the front cover? Does it look good and flat all around the edges? Also, the coolant puddles up at the back of the housing on the right side, right above the water pump. If you don't stick s...

Re: New build - Rod Knock?
It certainly doesn't sound like rod knock to me. Can you pinpoint the area its coming from at all? Maybe using a mechanic's stethoscope? Gonna try to do that later after work, appreciate your help. So, I found out the hard way that paper style gasket on the thermostat housing is a no go as it leaks...

Re: RB25 ACT Clutch not disengaging
Ah, I see. I misunderstood. ACT pressure plates tend to be pretty stiff. I'm running their Xtreme pressure plate and there is no way I could disengage it by simply pressing on the clutch fork. Yeah I did notice it moving once I bled the system more, however slave is leaking so doesn't disengage all...

Re: RB25 ACT Clutch not disengaging
Woah. So you can't even get the pressure plate seated all the way against the flywheel when the clutch disc is installed? Not without torquing the bolts down that's correct. Basically had to hold the PP with my knee while i hand threaded some PP bolts to the FW OR had a friend hold the PP while I t...

New build - Rod Knock?
So started up the engine for the first time today and noticed a loud knocking sound at idle. Didn't really hear it if i rev the motor but was basically just blurping it not holding at a steady RPM. Odd thing is, I mainly hear it on the intake side, could be because I don't have all the tranny to blo...

Re: RB25 ACT Clutch not disengaging
And to add to that, the clutch pedal is impossible to depress. There is so much pressure built up in the lines (I've bled numerous times) that I'm literally bending the clutch pedal bracket.
