Re: My 94 Hardbody project

Looking good man. Really miss my KAT days. Haven't been on here in a long time but I've still got the old KA sitting and collecting dust. Might throw it in an old datsun some day.

I would get a cut off wheel and a welder and cut that manifold. Proably cut the outlet off and weld a section of pipe to it and a flange to bolt the rest of the exhaust. Or you could make some engine mount brackets to clock the engine a little.

Where did you get those HID's? My headlights are so dim I think if I hold a small flashlight out the window I could see better. Thought about buying some on ebay but I know most of that stuff is crap.

I would replace the oil pump. If that doesn't help then I would inspect the main bearings and rod bearings. I recently pulled apart an ka24e that had locked up. The main bearings were all in bad shape and one had spun. Also #2 rod bearing spun and locked up. The owner said that the lifters always ma...

I had to cut holes in the radiator support next to the headlights and trim the back of the grill a little for the piping. I did use the factory exhaust manifold and made this j pipe for the turbo. It worked excellent although it did crack over time. If i did it again i would use thicker walled pipin...

Wow, I have not seen those pics in a long time. I could never get the safc to work with the stock d21 maf. The afr would cintinuously fluctuate from rich to lean. I swaped in a 240sx ecu and maf, problem solved. Here are some pics of that setup. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d149/vg33t/DCAM0710....

I dont know about the noise, but that duckt tape holding the intake pipe to the throttle body is probably leaking. That would caus it to not idle right.

370 is alright for low pressure. I would go with 440 or possibly larger because you may want to increase pressure it the future. It will not take much to max out those 370,s

I have been running the dohc pistons for 15000 miles now. it runs really good even with low compression. I only used them because I got them for $40.00 I think this is why my motor has lasted so long boosting 23+ psi every day. A good tune is also very important. The first time I turbo it blew in a ...

You need to get a wide band so you can see your AFR,s. There no way you will be able to tune it without some kind of air/fuel monitor.
