Re: Single Slammer Build

The car will be going lower now that it's mocked up. Thinking about getting a new set of coilovers, mine are almost 8 years old that I initially bought used for cheap being broke at the time. I also have a fender roller for the rear once it warms up a bit. http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y500/pa...

Re: Surging idle cutting in boost

Is the BOV recirculated? Where is the MAF located? Too many variables to pin point, but sounds like two different issues.

Re: Single Slammer Build

Bought some new wheels. My mockup beater wheels to roll around on didn't clear the big brakes, and since I went 5 lug, I needed something. http://www.ebay.com/itm/XXR-530-17-C-Black-Concave-Rims-Staggered-Wheels-5x114-3-95-96-98-240sx-S14-SE-/221965380737?vxp=mtr Completed front end http://i1277.pho...

Megasquirt Tunes

Can anyone help me out getting started by uploading their tunes? I have no experience tuning and am starting out on 800cc injectors with a hx35 on a DIYPNP on 93 at 15 psi.

Re: Oil feed hard line

I originally wanted a 1/4 nickle copper hardline for my feed, but decided to change direction. Talk to your local heavy duty truck dealers. I work for a Peterbilt dealer and I crimped my feed line in house to the original Cummins fitting on my HX35. JIC is the same 37 degree flare that AN is and tha...

Re: Single Slammer Build

Looking for opinions on spark gap on my factory ignition. I went with ngk zfr6f-11 plugs. I don't really plan on going higher than 15 psi on this ignition so I can drive the thing before it gets cold. Unfortunately I can't start the thing yet, waiting on my buddy to finish my dp and I'll be in Seatt...

Re: Single Slammer Build

Getting ready to start the bi*ch. Still need a couple clamps, fluids, and the downpipe finished by my buddy who's a better welder than I am. Also need to finish the cold pipe. I had all the SR bs welded up but need the IACV and IAT bung welded. I figured I'd diy it and got this stuff called alumaloy...

Re: Single Slammer Build

Just an fyi on the diyautotune disk in single slammers, I had to use a significantly different tooth #1 angle than what is written on their application docs (probably for dohc). When you install it, set the engine to tdc and look at where approximately your sensor is sitting relative to one of the ...

Bought the trigger from DIYautotune and a full version of Tunerstudio. Back to waiting on parts. Still waiting for flanges for the Holset to finish oil return and downpipe that is otherwise fabbed, bungs for wastegate line and IAT, and boost gauge. Oil feed, FPR, BOV, and Megasquirt are all plumbed ...

The Arias pistons are a little noisy on cold starts but it's not bad, I just let the car warm up for a minute before driving it. Since it's been nice here the past couple days I decided to take the car out for a spin. It has a slight miss that needs addressed and a tiny oil leak that is probably com...

I ended up spinning a bearing on the newish motor. It doesn't surprise me because when I was young and dumb, I ran the car out of oil because of a huge leak at the filter around 4 years ago. So I decided to go all out and build a forged bottom end with a Holset HX35 running Megasquirt. Motor is in t...

About all parts stores sell the brake lines, those NiCopp from Jegs can be bought from Autozone and are nice because they don't rust and are easier to bend. Most Nissans and Japanese cars use 3/16" inverted flair line with M10x1.0 fittings.

I'm doing a very similar build on my sohc in almost the exact same car. I ended up with Arias 8.8, Eagle rods, and I am planning on a hy35 and Magasquirt. That blue relay isn't located in the fuse panel, it's mounted to the inner fender just next to the battery by itself, unless the car was originally auto. It's called a clutch interlock switch relay and it is possible to jump it to see if thats the issue. It can be bought at Autozone under part numbe...

you dont want to heat wrap your intercooler piping, its keeping the heat in instead of the slight cooling that it would otherwise get.
