Re: p00t's long winded journal from the beginning of time
Yeah that made me want a z32 trans too :P I'm on the fence about it. Do it. Dooo it. Do it. :D The Z32 trannies are cheaper than the 240 transmissions. Why? I have NO clue. The NA trans is the way to go too. Internally they are identicle to the TT. Only differences are flywheel/starter I believe, a...

Re: p00t's long winded journal from the beginning of time
Nice work! I saw those dizzy caps from tuzzio's guy and they are the business. I have about 1000 things I need to spend my money on first though. If that's the 3 port MAC controllor I think it is, I'm using the same one on my megasquirt based setup. It works well and is consistant. They really don't...

The S13 KA and S14 KA valvecovers are different. You have the wrong generation valvecover for that head.

What's the reason for going with the RHD version I believe on is curved slightly towards the driver.....I ordered mine in April....still haven't received it...being told maybe august absolutely right. The Mazworks kit sets the angle of the VG trans to where the shifter is tight up against the left ...

shouldn't be kickback w/ DIY trigger wheel. Post your tune file and one of us may be able to look through it and help.

No need to spam the forums with separate threads for the same issue. Answered in your other original thread in 'basic'.

Re: Thoughts on microsquirt for a KA-T setup?
You can use a flying loom and wire it in yourself. Megasquirt is universal. They're having an issue getting the harness interface plug since their supplier quit carrying/making it. Imho, i would use either megasquirt 2 at a minimum or just wire in a ms3 box. The functionality you're going to lose ou...

I use a -4an with a 90 degree end for mine and appropriate -4an adapter on my turbski. No leaks here.

Buzzing/nvh 100% solved. Got the car out yesterday and it's so much quieter inside. That shifter is the final piece of the z32 trans puzzle. I would highly recommend it

Re: CC White bunny throw out bearing
I just installed a z1 shifter in mine. (The RHD version) i got better clearance than the mazworx piece and it feels way smoother. I'm hoping to get rid of all the buzzing and vibration noise i got on the hwy with the other. Will toss in pics if anyone is interested.

Sadly, facebook. I had been off of there for the last 5 years and I reactivated my account for the FS forums/threads. TBH it's pretty toxic there so I'll probably shut it down again but, yeah between there and zilvia, that's about your only choice these days. Couple groups depending on your area; NI...

Yeah you'll be ok in vacuum as long as you didnt drastically raise your compression ratio. Best of luck. They're very very fun to get into when you arent worried about the motor grenading.

Re: Tune Built KA-T?
If you stay out of boost, sure you're probably going to be fine. But if you want to get into boost I'd get it tuned tbh... You just spent how much on the engine machine work? Why cut corners now? just my .02

Re: battery relocate wire quality
Nice haha. I scrapped that catch can and am running 2 separate ones now actually. You probably won't see much of a difference cranking, it's just going to generate a lot more heat from current while in use. Which is wasted power. As long as your alternator is keeping the battery topped off, send it.

Re: battery relocate wire quality
TL;DR I'd be more worried about the longevity and corrosion with copper clad. It varies wire to wire, but I've read that OFC can carry 25% more current for equivalent I2R losses over a 20foot stretch of wire (this was tested in 1/0 gauge.) That's a fair bit of power loss that I don't want. It'll be ...

Will do. best of luck. If we ever thaw from this freeze I'll be on to finishing my brakes and then working 70+ hour weeks for a couple of months, then 50/50 shot on whether I'll wind up with a second S14. I may not be making much more progress than you for a while. But when I do...

Hey you're fine man. As long as it isn't one of those ad-bots that keeps infesting our board I don't give a darn. Nice numbers! good AFRs there. Yeah, the alternator has an internal V/R I believe. That's really weird. Could have a bad alternator? I upgraded mine to a Nissan Quest unit because of all...

That's a nice piece. I'm running a CANbus gauge on my setup. I need to hook up a speaker and actually program in some alarms aside from boost and oil pressure and quit being lazy. I've added oil pressure and temperature, and I set up a single alarm for oil pressure. I need to do coolant temp and set...

Re: BW S257SX-E 412WHP/383TQ @ 18.5#, 93Octane
The table resolution is fine; it's the ability to adjust the individual cells in MS3 to the tenth that makes the fueling so much smoother IMHO. I get what you're saying and, yeah, I could basically have a 12x24 ign and 16x32 fuel table but This works for what it is now and, for the same reason I'm n...

https://i.ibb.co/1zZqk0d/Igntbl.png That's what I ended up with, scaled to 25 psi. It's conservative out of boost and I'm good with that. I am starting to see some of the limitations of the MS2 as it ages, helping my buddy tune his MS3 based Miata. It's incredible what a difference being able to ad...

very nice! I'm not going to push 30 #. 400 on pump and 500 on E85 is all I want. It's plenty fun at that level. E85 is efficient enough I should be able to pull off my 500hp goal near same boost levels I'm on but i'm going to be running out of injector around there. Even at the 50# base pressure I'm...
