Here you can see the inserts installed in the DE head.

Re: Head lifting issues solved Permenantly!!!

I just had these inserts put into my DE head. I was able to slip the inserts in through the bottom. They barely fit. Took them back out and had the holes cnc’d and then slipped the inserts back in and pressed in.

Fwiw I didn’t need to shorten the collar.

Re: Mspnp2 No start

I'm just going to keep updating this so that maybe someone can learn from my ignorance. I think the kickback may have occurred because I had my trigger wheel arrangement set to "single wheel with missing tooth".

Re: Mspnp2 No start

shouldn't be kickback w/ DIY trigger wheel. Post your tune file and one of us may be able to look through it and help. Well i think i cracked a ringland last night. Compression is 180 180 175 70 I’ll post my engine blowing tune in a few hours. Swapping the built bottom end in tomorrow and not drivi...

Re: Mspnp2 No start

Update: So I had a couple issues causing the no start. Lower timing chain was a tooth off, and I left the MAF plugged in whilst using speed density. I did end up setting the trigger angle and had some issues with the ecu reading the coolant temperature incorrectly (fixed by changing thermistor value...

Mspnp2 No start

So I just recently installed the mspnp2 in the car and hooked up the WB, IAT, and Map sensors. All of them seem to be working fine but the car won’t start on the DE base map. Its as if the distributor is 180 off but it runs fine on stock ecu. Is there something obvious im missing here? Engine: Stock...

Re: Importdudes' Build thread

Im glad to see more Grip S Chassis too! Just about convinced all of my friends to get a fast lap time instead of slam their car into a wall. Ka-T is “in” right now so maybe well see more traffic on the forum.

Re: Ka24det 500hp dream

Ill keep updating this thread for people searching for answers like I was. I contacted Full Race about getting their manifold with a V-band flange but they said they can only offer it with the the T3 divided housing. No big deal, the G series turbo has a T3 option with a .92 backend. As far as the b...

Re: Ka24det 500hp dream

Good findings. So the engine is slightly more tilted now. Just making sure, the oil in the pan wouldn’t hinder or cover the oil return line correct? I’ve been thinking more about the Xcessive manifold and they do offer 50mm velocity stacks for it. I was thinking it may alleviate some of the torque l...

Re: Ka24det 500hp dream

Gotcha so for me the brake master cylinder should be fine. I have the chase bays power steering kit and the high pressure hose looks good but i might have to modify the low pressure hose as well. This image is of SR lines but theyre close to the KA. https://i.imgur.com/97wv49t.jpg Its unfortunate th...

Re: Ka24det 500hp dream

Ya im sold. Full race it is. Is their downpipe the clearance issues your talking about? I read that you needed a z32 brake master cylinder for it to clear? Sorry for all the questions but now im excited. A twinscroll gtx3071r or G25-660 sounds great for this manifold. Im not too well versed in the B...

Re: Ka24det 500hp dream

I think ill keep the gap the way it is then thanks. I took a look at your dyno thread, the numbers and power delivery looked great. So you are going to be switching to a full race mani or cutting and welding a divided flange onto your manifold? I also saw someone running that cxracing thick gauge ma...

Re: Ka24det 500hp dream

I do still have the stock manifold and throttle body. I wouldnt mind getting dyno results for the xcessive plenum and the stock setup. The roataing assembly is fully balanced and I do have the ATI damper. From BCs website it looks as if the low-mid tq loss isn’t too bad. https://i.imgur.com/s8B6oTq....

Re: Ka24det 500hp dream

T2 mani is going to choke the engine higher in the revs imho. Youve got a tiny flange for your exhaust and a HUGE throttle body which is going to kill throttle response/control in lower revs. What are you building this for? High revs drag/drift stuff or responsive auto-x/scca/nasa street type use? ...
