sorry it took me so long guys......work sucks, but the smoke is faint and white. Also its may not be the rings I just replaced them and the mains and rod bearings. I asked because I do have a ticking also.....So whatcha think?

well IMO two totally different types of racing are going to need two totally different types of cooling. In a drag setup with higher horsepower it would be best to keep the stocker, and add an single push fan in the front for better cooling at low speeds (especially if you have a larger radiator 4 c...

this is going to sound odd but get a fan off a junk ford taurus and use it. It works better than any flexalite that I have ever used (including the duals) and its cheaper......

People think SOHC, head work should be my first stop :roll: Bah! a stock head, stock valves, stock cams, stock intake manifold, etc. seem to have no problems finding the limits of the stock pistons... pistons turn into a much better first power adder than head work :P I know pistons don't ADD HP, b...

i bought another 240 to rebuild for turbo. im lookin for close to 300 daily. so is it necessary to regind the cranshaft. i just dont want to get the wrong bearings depends on the damage to the bottom end......a small regrind will take out any surface imperfections.....like Jordan said.......so what...

oh......I was under the impression that he was going to run a small amount of boost (5-7psi). Which lead me to think that the DOHC KA pistons would be slightly more reliable than the SOHC KA pistons with weak ring landings.....
