No DVD will take you by the hand and do all the work for you, but Josh's DVD's are an extension of the Factory Service Manual, using aftermarket parts and explaining what does what, and what goes where. That said, the latest motor build and head build DVD's are probably the best for anyone that act...

Anyone know the size, length and thread pitch

I was thinking they were the same as the SR but not for sure
Should be 8mmx1.25 probably 15mm length.

Most common bolts on our car are:

6mmx1.0
8mmx1.25
10mmx1.25
10mmx1.5
12mmx1.5
Thanks man!

I have a question on this. The FSM clearly states that the measured valve clearances for that equation should be made while the engine is "warm, but not running" as well as "Valve clearance (Hot):" above the specs. Whats the verdict when assembling an engine on a stand? Obviousl...

This is prime example why "most" race motors get rebuilt at least once a year. If you want to play you got to pay. But with all seriousness valve lash cheack and shim replacment is not to hard to do - so just check it most often and your good - no worries about parts wearing down. But also...

As per the FSM the equasion to find your new shim measurement is: New Shims= Old shim + (lash - .35mm) Add note 2/27/10: To find the new shim for aftermarket cams with different then stock lash, use the new equasion I have listed at the bottom of this post.
