Wow...I bought 2 of those for about 25 bucks from a local tuner shop, they are 5 layer nylon with t-bolt clamps. I only run the radiator elbow because I cannot find one that goes from 2" to 3".

That said, for 100$ it better have a lifetime warranty. :p

Just clock the intake pipe a little and you'll ne good. Unless...? I'm actually tempted to just use a 3" 90-degree silicone elbow on the inlet. The 90-degree silicone bends are tight-radius and I can bottom it out on the inlet of the turbo and it will probably clear the PS fitting. The only th...

wtf you guys talking about 'carving your bumper'. That intercooler clearly just mounts up. I would assume you have to remove your bumper to get a clean install, but there isn't really much 'carving' I can see in the pics or any interference between where the intercooler is and where the bumper 'sho...

My advice would be too runa little sea foam through a vac line. If you see smoke underhood (which I'm banking you will), you've got an exhaust leak, I'm pretty sure. One of your flange gaskets is bad, or you've got a crack again. You could run some in the oil right before an oil change too. If it IS...

Here in houston, the temperatures and operating conditions for our cars are some of the worst in the U.S. I runa taurus fan on low setting I picked up from a local supplier that I buy body parts from. Even with the extra heat from teh turbo setup, it stays rock steady. I'd also like to add that I tr...

umm, silly question, but did you remember to rotate the crank 180* for testing cylinders 2 and 3? Sounds like you just did the test wrong to me XD
BTW 6% leakdown is outstanding- especially a turbo motor.

Eh, paid 60 for the RFL BNIB from a local. Holds 16 pounds of boost fine, and works much better than the two Greddy RS valves i was using before. At least this one actually vents the boost pressure...those puny ass greddy units never could move enough air to keep surge down to a reasonable level. So...

well, seeing as you just replaced the piston in that hole, and prolly aren't an idiot, I'll assume the rings are sealing like any fresh set would. I wouldn't ever trust a motor that hasn't been able to make 100 psi or more of compression on initial startup. You have a valve problem, most likely a bu...

Turbo'd it originally in about 7 hours from start to crank and drive (first time, but i'm an auto mechanic with access to tools and equipment most people aren't). After the original T-25 setup took a dump (ring lands, no timing control FTL), I built the current motor over a weekend and installed it ...

Tried to bash? they did several product performance comparisons (and so have quite a few independent tuners), and let the results speak for themselves. The Tial can't be recirculated (unless you want the funny looking one), but the biggest difference is the reaction time under vacuum. Alot of it has...

Is the breaking up the same on Decel as it is under fast boost? If it's doing it only in boost, it's prolly boost leak, could be a leak pre turbo/post MAF as well.

SO yeah, I'm tired of crappy Greddy RS issues, so I'm looking to move on to something thatc an be re-circulated and doesn't leak under boost- Came up with the Synapse Synchronic Blow off Valve. it LOOKS like a really awesome, well functioning valve...but is there something I'm missing? It's closer to 4500... but that would in no way be streetable.
I was told to use the rpm where i start rolling boost as the given stall speed.

seeing how you are making a suggestion without knowing anything about the setup...kinda odd to just throw a random RPM out there, lol.

Automatic guys: Converter stall?

So I'm having a beefed up Trans built and was wondering what stall speed i should shoot for. Boost comes on at close t 3k, and hits full boost by 3500. Car makes around 320 or so through the current slipping trans... any suggestions?

SOunds like the charge diode in the alternator is dead... hook the amp probe up to the alternator charge wire and let us know what kinda amps it's putting out, I'd be willing to bet it's over amping- which prolly killed that battery. Replace Alternator and battery and problem will go away.

if you remove stroke and don't make up the distance with more piston, you're gonna have alot less compression...perhaps my statement went over a few heads?

Build one and let us know? Be warned that you're gonna prolly ahve to add some weight to that rotating assembly to get the right Compression ratio. I guess you could always use wedge crown pistons if you really needed to though.

Might try removing the MSD box and Re-Logging as well. TIming ought to be like 16* or so at those boost levels.
