The only true way to learn is by using self initiative. That's exactly what you did. For me, I had one buddy that went to UTI to talk to. And me as a person, felt ashamed of myself about even asking questions when I absolutely had to. My tools, cars, the internet and ka-t.org are what really educate...

What you speak of here is a rare gene that runs through most men. I like the passion, the feeling of success, the knowledge, creative outlet, and adrenaline most of all. There is so much satisfaction you get when you create something that is yours and only yours, especially when you did it all with ...

It sounds like we can rule out internal damage if oil and coolant(water) levels are not changing nor being contaminated by other fluids. All the extra fuel from cylinder 2 can easily make its way past the piston rings into the oil which is typical for an engine that runs too rich and is internally f...

You pulled the rail with the injectors still seated? and it was spewing around the #2 injector(not through it i assume) the o rings may be destroyed there, this could cause an abnormally rich condition but you claimed the car idles and runs fine minus the smoke. I'm just trying to figure out where a...

sometimes tons of fuel can burn off causing a close to white in color, ive heard but never seen. you may just be loading it up with tons of fuel. you may have a serious fueling issue somewhere, assess everything around the motor first if you think it everything is good internally but a compression o...

sounds like you may have done some internal damage, white smoke coming out of the exhaust means coolant(blue for oil and black for fuel). sounds like you may have done the piston rings in as well if gas is in the oil and that slick resin youre seeing is oil and coolant making its way into the combus...

save the money from coating or cryotreating. If you want 300hp, a stock bottom end will take that no problem(assuming tuned correctly) for a substantial amount of time, depending on how you drive it. JeffTaylor made 530 something horsepower on completely stock ka with a cometic hg but that was for a...

stock headgasket or cometic? high mileage engine or rebuilt motor? sounds like a warped head if its an original untouched ka(which would be from an overheat) or a possible decking imperfection that will allow the combustion leak, hence bubbles in the rad and coolant loss with no sign of coolant and ...
