boost for a long stretch? have you ever raced anyone on the highway? plus i would say it was tops a mile, i dont think it was that long but it was at least a half a mile.

i only hear the whining when it gets close to making boost...i just pulled the intake pipe, and i saw some scraps on teh compressor housing, checked the shaft for play, theres a little but not a lot, enough though where if i put any sort of pressure on the shaft up or down and try to turn it, it won...

still misfiring

My car has been running pretty bad at idle. I have heat range 7 in the car gapped at .030, my friend told me to try upping the gap to see if it runs better. I gapped them to .035 and i noticed my idle went from 700 to 1000....is this normal???

wild_maxx "try to unplug the iacv when you are adjusting the idle. If it drops when you unplug it you prob have a dead iacv."

sorry to jack thread but i'm having a similar problem, and i'm reading what you guys have posted about the egr having leaks could cause a bad idle...what about that pipe that connects into the stock exhaust manifold, if thats not plugged up could it cause the car to run poorly? bc when i got my down...

hmm that could be a possibility, because it did get worse after I changed the plugs...any other suggestions?

3" exhaust is becoming more common, go to meineki or something i'm sure they will have it, they had everything i needed except the 5bolt flange. plus you wont have to pay shipping.

could be spike or creep...all i know is i am looking at my boost gauge rather than the road when ever i floor it, haha, it was at 5 the shot to 10 and i took my foot off immediatly. didn't give it the chance to climb any higher or go back down to 5. not taking any chances.

Ok...so avoiding all advise not to buy any knock off stuff, i bought all my parts on ebay because i was determined that a company can't possibly stay in business if it was producing ****. So the turbo is holding up fine, a few pulls, intercooler is fine, clearly hot pipe is hot and cold pipe is cold...

well i reconnected the coupler at the throttle body that fell off, (worm clamp) and the clamp right on the outlet of the turbo (worm clamp) both fell off, i tightened them back up, got a t-bolt for the turbo and still got the worm on the throttle body, started it up runs fine now, but noticing a lit...

i thought stock timing was 15*

i saw one of the couplers popped off. could that be the problem for my stalling? I put it back on but was home only for a few minutes between class so i didn't really get a chance to see if any others popped off.
