Laughing at quitting your job then dropping a bunch of cash. MotoIQ just did this article on degreeing cams - http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_articles/id/2284/how-to-degree-cams.aspx. Haven't read it but a lot of their posts are worth the read. But kedbmx knows a thing or two about making big power :...

Sounds like a cool wife. Looks like she picked you out a decent car.

Watch the boost creep with the Greddy turbo kit. Otherwise, it is an awesome kit. Different manifold (ETD I think it was made a replacement manifold a few years back) or an external gate will help reduce it.

What's the cause of the blown turbos? Do you have any culprits? Are you buying used ones? The last one was a Precision (right?) so I don't think it was a quality issue - unless it was used and well worn. What is your outer tie rod setup? A few pages back you said "oem extended outer tie rods&qu...

Yeah, just match a MAF to your power goals. Z32s are just the most common and hold the most power. They also are what the majority of tuned ECUs out there are set up to run. If you are looking to go the tuned ECU route, a extra $20-40 now might be cheaper than trying to get a tune for a not so commo...

Word. 550's for a T28 setup is good.

As for dumping more fuel, they have the ability to dump more full at max duty cycle/WOT/when the engine actually needs it. Otherwise, they wil just dump what is required based on the ECU telling them what to do. So yes, they dump more fuel but only when needed.

You can undo one of the trunk springs and leave the other. That's what I did. The downer is it kind of causes the lid to be pushed up more on the springed side. If you disconnect both springs, there won't be any "pop" when you pull the trunk release. So you'll have to wedge the release up,...

I'd be more worried about a low quality cast part than a modified knuckle welded by a good welder.

KISS it, dawg. Do not complicate that which is simple. NIStune is just a modified ECU that can be rewritten. It comes with no base tune - only the stock OEM maps. You will have to get it dyno tuned (~$700). Technically, you have the option of downloading any of the base maps that are floating around...

300hp? Why not a GT3076R? Better spool up and still some room to grow.

And get some Kelfords. You'll thank yourself later.

Using a MAF instead of a MAP sensor.

An unrecirculated BOV on a MAF setup will cause an engine to stumble (unless you are running the BOV before the MAF with a blow through setup).

If you have a 1996 Nissan s14 KA24DE, the pcv valve is located up and behind the alternator, and in between the oil filter. A metal Check valve. It runs along with the IAVC tube. Getting in there is a bitchhhhh. I suggest you buy a bottle of coolant as well. The upper and bottom raidator hoses need...

Most likely the IACV. Try adjusting it or replace it. This was an issue on mine and a new IACV fixed it. Not a cheap part but fixed the problem. There is an adjustment screw you can fiddle with first before replacing it. A BOV that's not recirculated would cause it to die if you let of hard when com...

what turbo manifold? pretty overkill setup for 260hp. definitely has LOTS of room to grow (with bigger injectors).

is 8psi even in the 35r's efficiency range?

Based on your laid out hp and low cost goals, I'd say finish the T25 setup. You are in it for cheap already and only need a chipped ECU (probably cheapest method), intercooler, fuel pump, and exhaust to finish it up. You could be finished for ~$500 more or less depending on the deals you see. If you...

Build looks great! Quality parts! What kind of surface do you have on the head and block mating surface? It looks like your mechanic has his stuff figured out, but you want a darn near mirror polish on the mating surfaces. The Cometic gaskets are known to be finicky with the surfaces since the metal...

Think of it this way: your block, head, and front covers all meet at one point. If you machine material off the head and block, it would make sense to do the same to the front covers especially since the headgasket extends between the front covers. In my opinion, this is even more important for a me...
