Re: Q45 Diff question help please

Just a reminder. If you get the earlier diff from the Q45 used the half shafts that have the 6 bolt pattern like a star. They are the strongest by structure being that all 6 wholes are evenly separated and therefore less stress vs the 2 by 3 pattern as seen on others. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with...

Re: *HELP* AEM EMS 2 OBD2 Work in my OBD1 S14??

I have been there and done that. There are 5 wires more or less you have to deal with. The following diagram at the link is the one that I used (http://jimwolftechnology.com/wolfpdf/WIRING%2097+%20240SX%20TO%2096%20ECU%20WIRE%20MOD.PDF) . Just splice the wires coming from the engine harness to the p...

I believe the best thing you can do so you do not hack the wire harnesses is to get an obd 1 to ob2 wire harness adapter which they sale at boomslang. This way you just plug and play one to the other and be done with without much drama. I hope this info helps.

You may want to use the Nissan Q45 rear end 90-96 year. It has a 3.54 ring and pinion ratio in it. For the s13 you will have to change the cover for your own, but for the s14 you can keep the Q45 one. The 90-96 Q45 (R200) features the same beefy 6-bolt 30-spline axles, hubs, and output shafts used i...

For your welding TheManS14, I would encourage you to always preheat your whole manifold in an oven to about 400 degrees. It is similar to when you are welding cast iron. I am 43 years old and sometimes here in the forums I hear people arguing that is not possible to weld cast iron. My father did mor...

That is also another way of going at it. To each his own. I do respect some other's ideas and creations. I think either way will work just fine. In my case, I want the adjustibility of having an external wastegate on my system.

sr20 to ka24de manifold swap

I do not know if it has been done with the ka24de before, but I did in fact used a sr20 manifold with a ka24de exhaust flange for my DD and it came out beautiful. I am going to mount it on my s14 engine and hope to use if not with a t28 a t3 turbo charger with a t2 to t3 adapter. I will post picture...

Yes, they are made in China as are also the Iphones and most of the stuff we buy now days. The labor on those countries is extremely cheap and the american companies now pay cheap labor what some good percentage of all those companies have to comply with american standards. My 2 cents

New option for turbo manifolds.

I have spoken with Leen from steed speed performance after I came accrossed his web site www.steedspeed.com . To say the least, very impressive manifolds in my opinion. Very sturdy and he can customize the manifold any way you would like given your specifications and size of turbo and so on. I would...

They have made over 800hp with these units ( Q45 differentials ). The axles are super strong, so I do not see you wanting a 240sx differential when you can use the Q45 one. Good luck with the install.

As you all know, Q45 differentials from 1990 to 2001 all fit the s13 and s14 platforms. For the s13 you will have to change the cover for your own, but for the s14 you can keep the Q45 one.
