No, I'll probably take it to the track 5-10 times a year. This is to enjoy daily. I realize it will more likely be an NV goal (it will be harsh) due to the nature of this type of car. The turbo will quiet it down a little but I do hope to do a good job of seperating the engine from the cockpit compl...

For an hour thats pretty damn good. I have a few hours of TIG on 4130 and we just got our MIG working so I'm going to need to pull my engine and cut/weld to repair rust soon. I temporarily lost my camera though :(

If he is estimating (why are you estimating this?) 2.6L then he's looking at the BC stroker which has a fully counterweighted crank.

Is this a street car and if you're shooting for 450HP at the flywheel then the pressure ratio you're using is higher than you need.

It should have a check valve which only allows air to be sucked out of the the brake booster.

I wouldn't go without a brake booster with a stock pedal set, to much force ends up going through that dinky thing. You would need to redesign/buy new pedals that are stiffer/stronger and if you're going through all the trouble why not do a dual MC set up? Regardless, its not the best idea in the wo...

I'm not sure, its something I need to research more. For your purposes I'm sure its negligible. Technically I'm sure you would treat that length differently just because it is a nozzle at that point and not a uniform pipe.

I can't remember a lot of what I read about this stuff a while ago but I think that length you're trying to calculate is from the back of the valve (meaning include the port length).

Not to many issues with Max Boost, just saying that what you can find in the library is far better if you're trying to learn where the numbers come from which I thought is what you were trying to do. That being said, I left out the pressure ratio because a lot of times people are given the final ans...

oh lord... Tim you should know FSAE skillz and regular car forums don't go well together.

In case the big point was missed in all the arguing, all the chassis bracing/strut tower bars/fender braces/solid end links in the world won't prevent roll.
