AEM EMS - fixing idle..timing sync done, car dies at a stop
well ive got my car running fine off my old tune, but from where i had to reset the timing sync, it threw my idle off. Now whenever I'm driving and come to a stop, my idle drops down and the car dies..it never catches itself at 750rpm like it did before on THE SAME TUNE. what should i tinker with in...

aem twin fire installed and not starting
so yea i wired the twin fire up, set the settings for the ignition just like BRAD suggested in his CBR coil thread and the car doesnt start up. i even checked the coils to see if they were getting 12v at Key-ON and they arent getting 12V. are they supposed to get 12v at key on? im pretty sure they a...

Do some logs, I bet the arm is pulling timing hardcore, I know the feeling. Drop the gap to9 .28-.26 and see if that helps, Id atleast have the gap near .27 for that psi. I loggged some runs I had on my last motor (a week ago) and aem was pulling timing to like-5*. I also think I was running out of...

Re: car will not hardly turn over... help!
here is the deal... car went dead while rolling to a stop... the car would not crank afterwards! the car will barely turn when you hit the key about a half and inch and then when it gets to a certain point it will turn over a time or two then go back to the same problem being it just barely turns e...

blowing fuse when i kill the car in 1st
yeah this is reaLLy weird! every time i try to take off in 1st gear and i end up killing the car because of the really harsh clutch, the EGI fuse under the hood blows. it blows without fail...every single time and ONLY when i kill the car. if i turn the car off the normal way then it's fine, but if ...

well guys, i finally got the car going and running fine! the only thing is that i blow the damn EGI fuse under the hood every time i come to a hard stop such as killing the car because the clutch is soo dang ridiculous to leave 1st gear on. Getting out of the parking lot in 1st gear is insane..i got...

ok, i took my starter and battery down to advance auto and the battery checked out GOOD and the starter worked, but they said it would be a good idea to get another starter because the old one was making a bad grinding noise. Well, i picked up a new one from advance and installed that one on the car...

It will. Use the air bleed screw on the intake mani above the coolant hose outlet. There should be a lot of air in there. Get a hose with a metal or plastic nipple on one end and stick it into the hole where the screw sits, then let the car warm up with the rad cap off and a funnel stuck in the rad...

Does the problem go away when you crank it with a high amp charger hooked up? It is either the battery or the starter cable. A bad starter works or it does not. Won't just turn slow. well, i actually got it running again today for about 10 minutes and everything sounded great. the only reason i shu...

well im lookin thru my FSM and i found what i THINK is the EGI fuse under the hood. This 7.5a fuse controls EC-MAIN, EC-CMPS, EC-MAFS, EC-PGC/V..im gonna get another fuse and replace that and see what happens there. I'm guessing that if it controls EC-MAIN then that would cause my ecu not to turn on...
