i just think its a lot of effort for minimal gain. if you wanna do it and can do it well, more power to ya, not trying to cut ya down that way. Im just looking at it from the effort to gain perspective Non taken. My lower manifold got messed up, so I was just thinking to fab up my own. I have plent...

whats gonna be the benefit with just a lower manifold. seems kinda pointless to me. It will be easier for me to do, because I won't have the injectors to deal with (angles, machining after casting, fuel rail points). Makes it look OEM so there will be less likely chance of looking more indepth when...

The welder is a thermal arc 185, and so far i like it alot, not that i have anything to compare it too lol. I know i'm not running out of gas but what else could cause that? I think the tungston might have been a lil contaminated  so i'm thinking that's the reason. And ya it's just a practice...

Question, possible sale
I'm getting ready to start casting aluminum. I'm thinking of casting a DOHC lower intake manifold as a direct bolt on replacement from the stock one. I want to know: How many vacuum ports should I put in? should I have an option to put on a q45 TB? What's a reasonable price would you think I should ...

I don't really think so, but who knows? I would take a dremel with a cut off wheel to it, so you can cut a slot into it, so you can use a flat head screw driver. That shouldn't be a screw, just for that very reason. Once you get it out, replace it with a bolt with the corresponding thread/size, and ...

did you run the engine wile it was jacked? it you stripped the threads and its a steel/copper radiator. Take out the radiator, try to find a aluminum bolt that corresponds to you drain plug, but longer. Flip the radiator, get some lead solder and a propane torch. Heat up the bung and the apply the l...

I stumbled upon this a while ago.
http://eccs.hybridka.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=29
I know this isn't a RT board. Has anyone tried to build there own RT board from scratch and has any schematics?

Alaska :p. You would think of all places that Alaska would be one of the places wouldn't have I.M. testing. because eventually cali standards will eventually be the national standard, we go by that. There's more to the kitcar thing besides the engine, but what I stated before is a large chunk that o...

not true either, any modification past the catalytic converter or last oxygen sensor in an obd2 automobile in california is legal as long as it passes the noise limit of 95db, i know this because after the cat (or last o2 in an obd2) it is no longer smog controlled in any effect, the only law they ...

to AK-Z: no every item in the kit does not need an E.O. number the kit as a whole needs an E.O. number, alot of turbo kits that are CARB legal dont have a E.O. number on every item just some of the main ones most of the time that means the manifold, maybe the turbo, and intercooler, not every littl...
