900hp with fmu FTL
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/pts/3336342149.html I just thought everyone should congratulate this young gentleman for his great accomplishments. He is the first ever to achieve 900hp on an FMU. We should all email him and find out his secrets. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. haha

If you have spark blowout at 5k then that's most likely your problem. Your giant non-bb turbo won't spool till about that point. I hope so. I'm on the verge of swapping out this turbo for my old one. I hit 20psi on the last turbo perfectly, and fast! I was so happy. Since gapping my plugs to the po...

Guys would it be possible that my turbine housing is just too big for my setup? Not the turbo itself but the a/r of the turbine housing. I've been doing some reading around and people say that a .86A/R is too large for a lower compression 4cyl which is what I have. Most of the forums say .68 is best...

Well, it is an ebay turbo, and those are hit and miss so try a different turbo or send that one back for a replacement if they'll do it. That is a no go on the replacement... If I can't get this thing to reach 14psi I'll use my to4e. thats pretty normal, we all make more boost in higher gears. i be...

I unplugged the wastegate entirely and gave it a shot. The problem persists. There is no change. 5psi is the enemy. airman, I tried your suggestion too and there was no improvement in boost either. I clamped it down with a cap and coupling and took it out for a drive with the wastegate line unplugge...

simple question....when you are boost leak testing...what PSI are you testing it to? Are you verifying that it is holding pressure with your actual boost guage that you are seeing 5 PSI on? Yes, I am looking at my actual boost gauge inside my car. I unhook the compressor hose from the tester and le...

Ok i swapped out the gasket and now its leak free. I was a little exited about how i could tune for 15psi. Got it out on the road and I'm still running 5psi!! Sprayed everything that had to do with boost/vacc. No bubbles. The turbo blades have absolutely no play and spin freely. I compressed the sys...

Since my charge pipes were clear I decided to check my intake manifold. I believe I found a contributor to the loss of air. The intake manifold has a slight bubble between the two pieces. I'll buy a new gasket, clean it up a bit and Hopefully this will get me somewhere higher than 5psi. Its gonna ta...

Idk what size that gt35r is but i had a older precision 67mm on my KA before i swapped it for a 60-1 it wouldn't spin at idle. I would double check all the intercooler piping, make sure the fire seat is on the waste gate, and maybe swap the turbo and see if that changes anything. Yeah unfortunately...

Hmm, don't know anything about goodspeed. But your turbo should defenitly spin during idle.. That's what my experience is. But Searching around some people say large non ball bearing turbos sometimes do not spin during idle with small engines. Some say they should. Like always with internet searche...

Yes it does turn freely by hand. If i give it just a tiny bit of gas it spins. So i suffered through the heat and humidity and found a rather large hole in my pipe coupling. It held 20psi, till I shook the piping to see if I could hear any hissing, It lost pressure all of a sudden and started hissin...

btw I have properly installed the seal ring and the pre-turbo manifold is properly bolted down with new gaskets. I'm worried it could be the new turbo. It's not the most freely spinning turbo out there. Maybe I need to drive it normally for a little longer? I'll give it the full checkup tomorrow. If...

Turbo Issues?
Hi guys, So I have a brand new gt35r installed. I've been driving it normally for a couple weeks now and decided to give it a little pull for tuning purposes and the boost only goes up to 5psi MAX. AFR's are set to 11.0-11.5 at 5psi right now cause it wont boost any higher, I thought if I tuned it p...

Some say drag racing is boring, but feeling the sheer amount of pure power is actually pretty awesome! We gotta show the other car enthusiasts that our motors are capable of producing monstrous neck snapping power! And can chase down or beat any dsm or v8 in the drags! There are a few that have done...

I know its been ages since this post but I have found the problem. It was loose wiring in the connector. After being so frustrated with this I decided to gently tug on the wires instead of holding the clip and pulling. With a gentle tug the two wires both came out of the plug and looked horrible. I'...
